aint that the truth, it seems the FGC is filled with betas that have to do what everyone else does
what does that have to do with anything? his point was even the smash players can manage to play the game they like without the devs support (see melee)
so its you and not him? interesting.
And fighting games players can do it too, except the games had much smaller bases and are much more fragmented so it's harder to keep a community as big. Old games still get played but they struggle harder than smash because they never had that kind of exposure and base of people who know the game exists and is played in the first place.

I do get what you're saying about fragmentation, but scenes don't have to be big, they just have to have enough people constantly playing
I see so much bitching and moaning about the current title, but they do nothing about it except bitch and moan like capcom is magically gonna go "oh man this guys right". Those same people hit you with the "we bitch and moan because we love the series and want them to fix it/make it better", but fail to realize that the company doesnt give a shit and doesn't love you, at this point it doesn't seem like capcom is going to change the way theyre going with the game so the only way to show them you dont like the game is to not play it and play something you do like, go revive usf4 at your locals or go play 3s or st, host your own tournaments, or play some other fucking fighting game that you enjoy
