Why not Brotherhood of the Star Ocean? Since you're going for the piracy shtick you should go with Military Junta or Military Dictatorship since they focus on your fleets as apposed to your ground troops.
Michael Baker
>Why not Brotherhood of the Star Ocean? Like the Sea of Stars High above >you should go with Military Junta or Military Dictatorship since they focus on your fleets as apposed to your ground troops O shid i fugged up Thought the bonus on starbases was about ports No biggie, easily fixed

That restart really worked out
Ayden Ward

It's actually Caribbean :^)
Looks like you'll have to restart again :^)

Christian Gray
Why can't utopia be out already? I want to remake all my factions with the cool new empire editor. Finally I can use whatever government type I want. I've always wanted to make a military republic but the bonuses were so garbage I could never make one viable. Now I can make a military republic and give it whatever bonuses I want.

What are some necessary mods for stellaris? Where I can get them without using steam?
Cooper Lopez
The best mod I have found is the uninstall button.
Lucas Rivera
>using mods when the mod apocalypse is about to descend
Dylan Young
Some have PhD
Leo Bell
Base game + DLC is pretty good, considering that none of the game's many problems are fixed by installing a mod that was developed by a bored 16 year old who doesn't know anything about space or strategy.
Luis Murphy
If you're bored, get the XL titan laser mod that also converts normal XL weapons to L.
Brandon Scott
Take your pick of these awesome stellaris mods: >real world flags >movie/book reference flags >more flags of an unspecified variety >cosmetic changes to one or more races >controversial racial mod for humans >"improved" graphics >mod that claims to fix the AI (it doesn't) >"more (resource)" mod with 1000+ subscriptions because most people are fags who play on easiest difficulty and still lose >mod that adds a shitload of traits to empire creation and totally imbalances the game
Parker Collins
No Clustered Starts is fucking mandatory, unless you want to find yourself always surrounded by other empires 2 systems away

Fallen empires don't matter. Just expand in the other direction.
Luis Smith
Is Age of Wonders 3 fun?
Logan Rodriguez
It matters when you're right next to two aggressive empires who also expand away from the FE and one of them shares a world preference with you.
Joshua Taylor
I got bored after a single campaign. There's not a lot of depth to managing cities, you just spam upgrades til you eventually have everything. It's more focused on the tactical battles which are actually pretty fun, but it takes a while to fight everything out.
David Miller
I remember trying the tactical battles, and I found them really bad.
Anthony Cooper
Compared to what? I don't have a lot of experience playing that style of combat so to me it was something new and engaging. If kinda easy.
Lucas Sanders
>implying humans are not fanatic purifiers by nature

Compared to, I dunno, Heroes of Might of Magic.
Michael Hernandez
Sundren a cute!!!
I started playing yesterday and it seems fun but like other user said; not a lot of depth. But I like fantasy setting so it'll probably hold my interest for a while
Sebastian Ward
is a planet with ideal atmosphere but no water better than one with no oxygen that has water? how much does water matter in aurora?
You do know you can rename any solar system and planet within your borders by clicking on the name of the planet/star in the windows that appears whenever you select them, right?
Dylan Walker
is there anything better than bullying the shit out of fallen empires?

That's only according to what scientists say. What does the Bible say? It doesn't mention planets around TRAPPIST-1 at all. Scientism is a disproven religion.
Oliver Barnes
Are there any species concepts or government ideas that just *fit* with certain modes of interstellar travel?
Like, I always see the Not!Elves (both creepy blue and hot fuccboi varieties) using hyperlanes because, you know, leylines.
Likewise, Fanatic Spiritualists always feel like they'd use wormholes.
Grayson Morales
>I just want a comfy start that lets me expand a bit before I have to start fighting wars.
You'll usually find your first neighbor by the time you fill out your Core Systems, and when you meet your first continued expansion is as easy as going the opposite direction (or just around them.)
Carson Parker
that's not irony and there's several MoO 2 torrents on kat/tpb
Zachary Collins
My rules of thumbs: Wormhole is the standard Warp is for aliens who don't give a shit about travel (maybe they're long lived or they reproduce fast enough to offset it) Ancient aliens use Hyperlanes
Hunter Martin
>kat not up anymore, current one is meme site
link to tpb one?

The unit snapping in CIV6 is the worst thing to be included in a video game ever.
Sebastian Lee
I hope venerable will get a point cost reduction for gene modding. It seems to me that the very first thing a species would do when getting such technology is to extend their lives. Hell, I could see the biology path having an upgrade which makes your dudes immortal or at least live for hundreds of more years.
Adam Cruz
>Hell, I could see the biology path having an upgrade which makes your dudes immortal or at least live for hundreds of more years.
We've already seen the capstone for Biological and it fucking suckkkkkks.
Nolan Adams
>current one is meme site yeah it's pretty shit atm but it hosts mostly the same stuff found everywhere else..
I have to use pirate.trade which is just a proxy because .se is blocked in my country. Anyway there are a few there. I haven't tried them, hope they work for you
Adam Hall
Just wait until you try the mouse scrolling.
Aaron Gonzalez
That's what the capstone should be though. You should get maximum age of >500 years, get extra happiness for being a biologically perfect being, and at least 10 traits.
Andrew Torres

Will Robots and genetically-modified versions of your primary race still be treated as xenos in the next update?
I find it kinda' weird that a Xenophobe empire would be okay with using Gene Warriors but not modifying its citizens to be conformists or adapt to different environments and shit.
Oliver Reyes
I think Psionic Ascension would be more like turning your people into not!Unbidden.
Big difference, one's snipping off the fat and leaving glorious killing potential, the other's fiddling with the GATTACA strings.
Christopher Moore

What's the name of that speculative future series that had a race of beings known as the Qu that conquered Humanity and bio-engineered them into all sorts of terrors?
If I recall, the toughest stuff in the series turned out to be robutts.

The other anons told you, but the Qu are honestly the only inspired thing about it. Most of it is breddy shit-tier, complete with a ham-fisted tweest ending.
Asher Gomez
>psionic ascension final perk: >all your ships and planets disappear >your leaders turn into awesome space monsters >you can still recruit more leaders and play the game normally, except that now your leaders are all on the map with 100k power per skill level
Angel Davis
>Link can't be posted here how'd that come about? did Veeky Forums shitpost too hard?
Ryder Davis
Both Robots and Gene Warriors are by default made in their creators' image (it's fucking obnoxious that Paracucks couldn't even go through the effort of making unique synthetic models for each species,) therefore they're not xenos, but either the distilled combination of the strengths of the race or creations of that race's technological knowledge, which makes them a point of pride.
Christian Martinez
Also you don't need to worry about space marines polluting the gene pool because white women don't mate with them.
Josiah Cruz
No idea really.
James Hall
(((Wiz))) might actually deliver on this one.
Did you see the screenshot with the shroud offer that gives you shit like +100% Food, +100% Mineral/Energy production, +100% Construction speed, and +100% physics/society/engineering output but with red text that says DON'T CLICK THIS OPTION.
Ryan Ramirez
>tfw the Space Marine modification that kills their sex drive wasn't originally intended by the Emprah, but actually added by human manlets after the Great Crusade to curb the lust of human grills for the BIG ASTARTES COCK

So, who is going to be the crazy motherfucker who will do it to tell us all about it?
I'd probably do it. No way it can be worse than LEX's Arcadia chain.
Alexander Young
>No way it can be worse than LEX's Arcadia chain. you've never gone Seeking, have you this is alexis kennedy we're talking about
Colton Lopez
What exactly happens in that event chain, the most I did was bust open a bunch of Gatekeepers and then get the galaxy turned into one giant plant tumor.
Joseph Gutierrez
>click it >computer blue screens >installs a virus called Unbidden >bricks your hard drive if it detects pirated Paradox DLC
Jaxon Kelly
>So, who is going to be the crazy motherfucker who will do it to tell us all about it?
Me on my first playthrough. I want to see if they take the 40k theme and play it out to the end-game.
>Already have a race of space elves ready >going to make all the bad decisions >hope that giving in to the Shroud not only turns your species into eldritch horrors, but also tears a massive hole in reality in the middle of your empire that automatically summons the Unbidden or something similar regardless of date or prior crises
Someone has to do it
Jayden Morgan
Right on, broseph.
I'll be over here gnawing on the Biological path like a boxer with a bone.
