Just beat Awakening. Coming off of Conquest, the gameplay and map design were significantly worse in comparison, but overall still a solid Fire Emblem game, even if it did get very easy towards the second half even without grinding. FUCK same-turn reinforcements though

I thought people were memeing when they said "every map is route/defeat commander." But every single map literally is just that. Not even a "Seize" mission to spice it up, come on IS. There also wasn't a single defend mission, which is some of FE's best maps.

Plot was overall very solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid. Stayed consistent with its themes with a few nice twists throughout

Tharja though, holy fuck dark magic is OP. Why did IS think it was a good idea to make mages tanky, have high damage AND enough speed to double, AND have a freely-available health-regeneration tome?

Olivia doesn't hit hard, doesn't benefit from the current meta, and is at worst, a nuisance. You really never have to "worry" when you see an Olivia in the opposing party.
