Ok, I haven't played sw4 yet and I don't plan to. Call me an autist but I can't stand the dialogue box in the middle of the screen. So I'll go for II.
Besides being pretty much the same game with a single new character for full price, are there any "real" problems with it? I don't care if it has the same stages as the original as I have never played it.
tl;dr: Is 4-II good if you have never played 4?
Jaxson Gutierrez
I want to hug Kai!!!

is the berserk musou worth buying if i love berserk and enjoy the warriors games? will it still be a disappointment? maybe i should buy it to support berserk. im not sure
Henry Rogers
I want to fuck KG
Jordan Jackson
Of course. People here said it's fun but nothing special. So it's still pretty good if you enjoy berserk. Just only has a few characters.
It was my dream musou and I'm just glad it exists,
Christian Baker
Some people are still looking forward to it, so go ahead and buy it. I'm not looking into it due to Isidro not being playable. Otherwise, I'd be hype as hell right now.
David Long
It's p awesome m8, I don't think it's possible to like both Berserk and musou and not love this game.
Jack Rogers
For DW9 I would have multiple branches all based on different conditions and each splitting off to a vastly different route than the canon. The major problem I had with the Hypotheticals in 8 were that they all felt like the devs were playing it safe and not really going into the 'what happens if' potential. It was all "you win instead of lose at this battle and you win all the battles from there" Hypotheticals should be more wild to be really interesting and different from historical. What if Taishi Ci joined Liu Bei after assisting him? What if Cao Cao died early and the survival of Wei from then on falls to his remaining relatives like Xiahou Yuan and Dun? What if Guan Yu had no choice but to remain with Wei after learning Liu Bei was killed in Guan Du? What if Sun Quan died instead of Ce? What if one of the kingdoms suffered a setback and never truly took off? What if 'x' joined 'y'
If DW9 consists of basically a whole bunch of hypotheticals turned up to 11 then that would already get me hyped.
Jack Gonzalez
You can switch off the dialogues SW4-2 is shit beacuse it has nothing that was in the vanilla and half the cast serves no purpose.
Oliver Bennett
>beacuse it has nothing that was in the vanilla
What? Isn't it like the expanded version?
Austin Hughes
Nope they take several character specific stories and pretty much shut out anyone that isn't on those famitsu most popular character polls they always run. The only thing it adds is Naomasa Ii and he alone is not enough to make up for the missing content.
Christopher Thomas
SB KG VS SW KG
WHO IS THE MOST KG???
Kayden Jones
I bought Berserk despite knowing nothing about Berserk and just expecting another Musou. I just finished the eclipse mission and I feel a bit exhausted, I'm gonna take a break before I keep going. I'd heard that the story was dark but I wasn't quite expecting all that.
Casca got boned right? They didn't show it.

is it commonly agreed that, for now, dinasty warriors 8XL is the best musou game (akin to how devil may cry 4 is held by /cgg/ as the best cuhrayzee game)?

A corrupt & incompetent professor was teaching a class on the Shu-Han.
“Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Zhuge Liang and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Emperor Guangwu!”
At this moment, a brave, Intelligent, legalist & pragmatic dadudu who had served in 50 campaigns and understood the necessity of forgoing conventional morality & Confucianism in certain situations held up a picture.
“When did Shu take this?"
The arrogant professor smirked quite smugly, thinking it was the Sichuan basin replied “between 212-214, you stupid dadudu"
“Wrong. These are the Wuzhang Plains, and if Zhuge Liang was as you say… then it should be controlled by the Shu-Han by now”
The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his Feather Fan and copy of Shu government records, He stormed out of the room spitting blood like any 'good' Shu official.
The students applauded and all embraced Legalist doctrine that day and accepted Cao Cao & Sima Yi as their lord(s) and saviour(s).
Then a Feng Huang called The "Mandate of Heaven" flew into the room and perched atop the Imperial banner and shed a tear. Poems such as 'Though the Tortoise Lives' Long' & 'Cold the gale blows by the frigid river Yi' were recited several times, and Qin Shi Huang himself showed up and enacted many reforms across the country, along with executing many of the professors.
The professor was found out to be a bandit & sandal weaver and was sentenced to execution the next day, however He died of Hypothermia due to a light shower of rain.

Are Kessen games any good? Especially Kessen II since I got into RTK through DW and I'm looking for good RTK-based games.
Jayden Bailey
It's bretty good but would be better if the professor was using original Chinese dating style.
Ian Bailey
they are absolutely bananas, to the point of even stupidity youtube.com/watch?v=ynhWc7_RIFE I also don't like the gameplay at all, you barely feel like you matter in the battlefield

UK here, just grabbed the apk and it works fine, only Chinamen and Japs are IP blocked.
Torn between turncoteman and fire jesus for my starter.
Benjamin Smith
There's something in common there
Owen Evans
Mobile game, solid production values, I'm pretty impressed so far. Gameplay is simplified for touchscreen controls, more focus on using your abilities and musou at the right time and tagging in your officers to gain the advantage.
Daniel Hernandez
>Liking Liu Shan >Bad I'm a Jin edgelord and i like Liu Shan too.
Oh shit, thanks user.
Brody Sanchez
Ok you google apk pure and you then either download the apk pure app or just hit dowload apk. Once its download it and it should offer to install it. From then just open apk. Its a full DW experience. I can log in just fine from the US.
Daniel Brown
Only touched Kessen III. The gameplay is similar to Bladestorm (the other way around actually), it's fun, but got repetitive fast. The main selling point of it though is it's story telling of the life of Nobunaga. It has imo the best Koei's story telling out of any game.
Jace Howard
what the fuck
Henry Martinez
>Got my favourite character first roll
The game knows. Yueying comes to those who love her. I don't give a shit if she turns out to be the worst character in the game, she's staying on my team.
Looks like there's a guild system, we should get something together if enough people start playing.
Jace Murphy

So who is the "Enemy Garrison Commander" and what is the "Time Limit"?
I'm having trouble figured out what either of these things actually are in this mission. Is this another case or poor translation and they are called different things at different points in the game?
Michael Hughes
PROTIP: Once you finish the railroaded tutorial, go to settings and change to highest graphical quality and full HD and it actually makes the game run better as well as look like a real DW game.
Logan Thompson
Time limit is usually 3 minutes by the looks of it, garrison commander is just the end of stage boss officer I believe.
Easton Young
Those things are pretty much the missions the stages throw at you. If you follow the flow, you should be able to get them. So after you destroy the catapults, that commander will probably be on the map and you can search for him with the army info.
Brody Ward
>femto's fight in eclipse is just you doing your special attack 3 times so you can iframe through his tornado spam with him just putting you far away when you hit him This game couldn't be more low effort.

Thought it was me. I literally played through a second time trying to see if I just missed something obvious before I just said fuck it and moved on.

Christian persecution was only a thing during the shogunate because it's Protestant William himself who told the Tokugawa that the Jesuit missionaries were his enemies in religion and nationality.
Before the shogunate, there were plenty of regional daimyo who allowed or converted to Christianity like Sorin Otomo, Date Masamune, and Oda Nobunaga himself.
Logan Gomez
I just ignore all the trash mobs and kill the guard posts, then the officers, then the catapault, wait for the doors to open up to get ambushed, kill the ambushers then kill the end boss. I guess I'm just not going fast enough. Maybe I should try again when I'm higher level.
Also this dream/tutorial level has all kinds of fucked-up-foreboding.
Oliver Myers
i drew lu linqi and wang yuanji. The jiggle physcis are real.
Leo Powell
>Date Masamune, and Oda Nobunaga himself. they converted to christianism? first time I've heard that
Isaac Myers
>Date Masamune built a european ship that actually visited the Pope.
Neat.
I assume that he's lumping allowed and converted together.
Nicholas Nguyen
but christ was actually a nip? How could they forbid Christianity.
Dylan Ward
Yeah, I lumped them together. Nobunaga and Masamune were kinda westaboo but never converted. I'm trying to remember if it was ever settled that Sorin converted out of a genuine desire to be Christian or to keep encouraging foreign trade in his ports...
Josiah Mitchell
actually jsut read about it
indeed, that is pretty neat, I knew there was a village in my country that had a lot of people with japanese names and the surname "japon" and now I know it was thanks to Date masamune's envoy, how funny

That's actually one of my favorite additions to the game, it makes boss fights actually feel like boss fights, and has you actually make use of the dash.
Bentley Roberts
Beat the story mode yesterday, had fun playing it, except for the giant boss fights, most of them were boring to fight. Also, was the "fight" with Femto fucked up for anyone else? After the first hit the slowing thing always spawned next to him and he always had tornadoes and shit coming out, I just had to spam death blows at him to win.
Gavin Jones
For the monster bosses, it makes sense, but when I swinging a fuck huge sword against another human with everything I got and he doesn't even so much as flinch, it's just kinda kills it for me. And I'm not talking about normal attacks either.
Yea, always had the tornadoes up after one hit.
Cameron Gray

Beat wei story mode in 8, historical path. It just ends, very disappointed.
Also, I hate these fucking rpg elements, fuck this shit. I don't want to bother with buying/finding good weapons for 80 fucking characters or how many there are. The starting weapons look like shit too.
Chase Roberts
Musous never had good boss fights. HW is the worst offender.
Grayson Phillips
>tfw life in burgerland
IT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR BROS, WHY ISN'T IN THE SOFT LAUNCH IN AMERICA
Grayson Mitchell
Musou is kinda about the grind. The long-term play of these games is going to involve heavily this sort of farming 99 times out of 100. SW4-II and OPPW3 give you less to fiddle with but you're still grinding up dozens of chars.
You should see WO3U where you basically build every weapon up the same two or three ways.
THAT said, if you just keep the difficulty on normal, you don't have to worry about optimization or crafting that perfect grindblade at all, just equip the highest star weapon you can for your char and level up as that character proceeds.
The historical campaigns almost all have unsatisfactory endings because Jin is about the only faction that really wins. The alt-history endings are a bit more satisfying.
>the weakpoint mechanic.
Aiden Lewis
Did you not bother reading i made it for people like you.
Jonathan Bailey
Has anyone tried rerolling in Unleashed yet?
I'd like to start with a few of my favorite characters.
Noah Collins
The problem with Wei campaign's is that they really get the short end of the stick in terms of length, like shit; in DW8 Wei's story ends at fan castle and that's just absurd. It could at the very least go up to Cao Pi's reign. Wu's story mode in DW8 even teases battles against Cao Pi but they just don't shit with it.
Jose Bennett
All units can reach 6* so not much point in rerolling other than for specific characters.
Elijah Perry
Quite true. Just killing Guan Yu is a pretty lousy finale.
That said the alt-history story was pretty badass.
Brandon Carter
Wei could really use an “Epilogue” featuring Cao Pi’s reign. It could start with his successful military exploits like suppressing the rebellions in Liang and retaking eastern Hanzhong and end with his failed campaigns against Wu, showing that Wei is still powerful enough to win battles, but that victory and unity are still a long way off. end with Cao Pi’s death and him entrusting matters to Sima Yi, Cao Zhen, and Cao Xiu.
Luke Johnson
what is this reroll? can anybody elaborate?
Aiden Green
It's when you delete the game and start over until you get the characters you want at the beginning.
Aaron Walker
>lvl 20 already
Ryan Johnson
You mean the 6 characters at the start aren't preset?
Anthony Fisher
Part of it is I think Wei started earlier. In DW4 when we had massive story campaigns we could hit all the beats but now since everyone has to have the same length or some gay shit we lose out for sticking Wei with Yellow Turban.
Still that would've been nice. Especially so Cao Pi gets to actually DO things other than that one badass mission where he and Zhen fight Zuo
Ian Parker
Join the official DW: Unleashed Guild and let's reunite the land under the great han together
hes wrong. You have to finish the missions untill you have access to the market place where you can use your free 3 - 6 draw.
Noah Johnson
For the same reason Isidro should be playable. How Wyald and Schierke got in over him is baffling.
Hunter Rodriguez
Serial mobage fag here.
From what I've gleaned, the starter hero from the selection of 6 is the same 6 every time. The first true chance at a 5* unit is doing the free single gold scroll pull after you finish the tutorial. Looking at the whales at the top of the arena currently, I haven't seen any unit above 5* which makes me think the rates are either obscenely low for a 6* or 5* is the current gacha max.
With the way upgrades work in this game, you look to be saving net time rolling for a 5* instead of settling for a 3* or even a 4* and upgrading. Game seems to want to discourage rerolls with login bonuses time gating rewards and minimal gacha currency from early mission rewards, so if you want to dive into reroll hell then it looks like you may as well do the free single gold scroll then delete data and run the tutorial again. You can skip the first stage against Lu Bu entirely to save some time. I'm going to sleep now, I'll start fucking around in emulators/root to look into speeding up the process tomorrow.
Josiah Parker
Sounds like a hassle.
I got SSX, and while she's not my #1 favorite I like her enough to keep her.
Asher Ortiz
>Schierke She's a qt so it's okay.

mobileshit was a mistake

I remember rerolling in FeHeroes to be as easy as deleting a single .xml file
