there are 2 moments the driver of the corvette sabotaged his own fastest lap time.
first is the entry into corner 9 from the previous lap. He doesn't ease off at all, leaving him a little slower crossing the start.
Next is obviously when accelerating out of turn 4, he takes his foot completely off the gas and coasts for 1 second up to his maximum speed before breaking for turn 5.
There's your 2 second difference. A total match fix to sell a Nissan.

The corvette GTR argument is basically the whole american muscle vs import argument based on superficial numbers that seem to mean a lot. It used to be 0-60/quarter-mile and now it's track times. The difference between 4 seconds and 3 seconds to 0-60 is how busriding faggots decide which car they want to put on their poster and talk to their friends about. The difference between even 2 seconds on a track is not enough to decide which car is "better". 99.9% of people buying a car like the corvette or GTR are not some track racer who needs the fastest car anyways and it pisses me off how much people care about the most trivial of metrics
