What's the point of it? The actually difficult part of the games, like Night 4 in SL or the very last Nights, aren't shit that can be solved with a "guidebook". Those sections being basically RNG. Everything else is already told to you, so you don't need to know how to play the games. It's like making a guidebook for Heavy Rain.

So the only point of this is what it spoils in regard to story. At which point, why make a guidebook when you can just put it all in an appendix for Twisted Ones?

If Sonichu is anything to go off of, ass-backward stories only get more confusing when their author tries explaining them.

Golden Freddy in particular stands out as an egregious example. Showing everything through minigames and turning FNAF 2 into a prequel for little reason were where things started going downhill. Pandering to the LP audience was a mistake.

Seriously I miss how the story was handled in 1 through in-game hallucinations and easter eggs instead of relying on mini games(even though I like how he handled multiple endings in 3, that's another thing I wish it would come back)

Turning a background event into the central focus of a game stands out. The Bite of 87 did not need an explanation, and neither did this ugly bastard. But we got them anyways. The reason I say that Scott is pandering is because the majority of the fanbase is more interested in the story than it is in the actual gameplay. The diminishing returns in sale figures reflects this. He probably compensates for it with the toys and other merchandising, but as it stands he's losing people with each game, probably because they figured they could watch someone else explain the game to them. Which is how this all got started, isn't it? Like poetry.

The "plot twist that fucks up the other games' story" thing can only be used so many times before people start getting bored. Scott's mistake here is not making another good horror game, but only trying to make a FNAF game to flesh out a wiki page.

I think the Puppet, Fredbear, springsuits, ect. shit is weird since Scott professed a love for Alien, and you would think that he'd find some commonalities between FNAF and Alien in that what you don't know or see is scary. But then again, the dude fucking loved Prometheus so I may be wrong on this assumption.

I feel that Scott isn't targeting the same audience that FNAF 1 was created for (namely, people old enough to remember animatronics), and that had he stuck to his guns we wouldn't have three prequels. I am all for a debate, but to dismiss an argument without explaining why is counter-productive.
