Yes it's a pure wargame, there is no victory outside of military conquest and while you could just turtle as Germany it wouldn't really make much sense as there are better games for empire building

Hi /gsg/ I'm doing my first 'more than 30 minutes' run to understand how CK2 works.

I need advice on how to get a County that's within my duchy without causing a massive shitstorm.

I started as a county, killed my Duchy liege, and the emperor gave the Duchy to me. Problem is, the remaining county inside my duchy is owned by the Emperor himself, and the only options I saw were to create a plot to fabricate a claim (which I get a 200%+ boost for being the spymaster for the emperor), or just pressing my de jure claim to wafge war against the empire.

Is there a more 'creative' way to avoid enraging an entire empire
