Let's talk about the Buick GS400 before I buy one.
Let's talk about the Buick GS400 before I buy one
its an old slow barge
I dont have much else to say about it
from experience?
Looks fantastic
Cooler than a Chevelle, but less cool than a Cutlass.
yessssss
closest Ive been to experiencing one was a Chevelle and even that was slow
the GS is even heavier and it doesnt take much searching to see how slow it is
so get the stage 1
even the Stage 1 isnt impressive mid 14s at best
It is a 50 year old car . If you waant to modernize then get $12,000 chevy BBC 632 and run 10s all day.
yeah and about another 10k into suspension and tires
old cars are garbage in general
this is the kinda shit you buy to cruise around it and not much else
just gonna be a daily driver, so want some comforts of the late 60s and enough power to have some fun.
The Buick 455 v8 is best.
>very under appreciated
Are you claiming that for $20k this car could blow the doors off modern muscle?
>so want some comforts of the late 60s
>comforts
>60s
what
did someone say GS400???
its a 20k car
with 20k worth of parts
plus how much ever labor is
it would still likely get its ass kicked on a track that isnt a straight line
it would be less safe
it would still have shit comfort and tech
if you want to spend oh say 50k at a minimum to get a good start on top of buying the car then maybe
More like if you want to modernize it just get modern tires instead of the 1970's bias-ply shitheaps most muscle car test times come from.
then completely redo the suspension
still will be anemic
$20k worth of parts...was this car known to have many faulty parts?
uhh what
its an old piece of shit and modernizing it isnt cheap
I got the same year Skylark for $3800-. Buick 350, with BOP TH350. Comfy, no smog, keeps up fine with modern traffic.
any part acquisition problems
When the Buick engine blows (2067?), then I'll get a 327 or 5.3.
ahh, nah not modernizing just stock resto...well Bluetooth and A/C.
that wouldnt be anywhere near as much
Im talking going with stuff like this as in proper suspension
this stuff alone is $7,000
my god...aint no way I need that for daily driving haha, but holy shit tho
>asks about part acquisition problems for American 60s iron
>still buys European luxury cars
