Sort of... I know Sniper is more part of the meta (be it HL or 6s) than a Heavy and it hurts. Yet I find it pretty comfortable when you pair an Engineer with Sniper.

If anything we would see a new class get added to fill a role no one else does.

We are stuck with what we got, and the only way that will ever change is if valve reworks the class

We lost that opportunity when they started making alternate playstyles for classes that go completely against what they're normally doing.

Demoknight is a prime example; The 10th class could've been a melee combatant of some sort. No need to worry about Grenade Man using free passive resistances and easy get-out-of-jail-free cards, or Sticky Man running around at 102% movement speed. It'd be way easier to balance. And the best part would be it'd let Pyro hard-counter something.

But no. Instead we get a suboptimal "subclass".

Nuts and Bolts works well for the engineer.

I don't think I understand. It's easy to flip viewmodels which will make your rockets come outta the left side of your screen, thus enabling you to fire rockets around corners that most people won't be able to. So do that. But why would you want to keep the viewmodel on the right while shooting from the left?

Flipped viewmodels don't change where your rockets come out of. Its the hud that's changed, not the model.
