Clean it.

F R E S H™

are we getting Fresh™ in here?

Tune up. Because modifying a car with aftermarket parts before getting it running perfectly is counterproductive.

im gay

remove interior door panels, replace trim clips, reinstall

Underrated

Not really mods, but here's what I have to do on the car I just bought
>thermostat
>coolant temp sensor
>head gasket
>intake manifold gasket
>oil pan gasket
>find where else it's leaking oil
>door cards need new clips
>headliner is coming down
>leaks coolant (from where I have NO idea)
>pinch welds along are bottom are completely folded up because previous previous owner was a stancefag and didn't want his rocker panels scraping
I've raised it back up but it sucks that the rockers are all fucked.
The car had sat for 2 years but it's one I really wanted and am okay with fixing up.
I got a pretty good deal on it though so I'll make it work.

CAN YOU DEAL?

I usually start by undoing any "mods" or any other fucked up shit from the previous owner. This includes basic maintenance that has been neglected for far too long by them and cleaning up their mess.

>Clean it (work, $0)
>all necessary maintenance (usually $100-$200)
>white led parklights (ebay, $1)
>white(ish) headlights (ebay, $2)
>interior lights (ebay led strips, $5)
>tint cluster (ebay tint, $2)
>air horn (eay kit, $35)
>paint tire lettering white for lols (old paint in garage, $0)
>paint wheels black (spraycans, $75 max)
>usually tint windows ($150)
>lowering and exhaust if it's worth it (anywhere from $350-$1500 depending on how in depth I go)

At this point I'll usually just fuck around and try stuff I've been wanting to try until I sell it.

Tires (Wheels)
Coilovers
Big brakes
Mechanical LSD

If the chassis needs it, of course.
After this, start on power mods.

...

>these mods
>easy

Though I agree with your choices as first major mods, ~$500 EACH for these mods and work involved is neither quick or easy. They are bare minimum tedious if you're mechanically inclined and have a buddy, especially brake work because bleeding brakes is a pain in the dick.

wtf did you buy and when i have a crushed pinch weld i bang it out with a hammer then take two pieces of angle iron and some c clamps and sandwich that bitch works gud

enjoying that rice life?

Easy is relative, I guess. I consider it "easy" if the engine has to stay in the car.

(And if it takes less than a day to complete.)

...

where do buy?

I look at it from the perspective of a normie who is okay at wrenching with only socket set and a jack w/ stands.

Which yes, all of that can be done with that, but without electric/air tools it's going to be time consuming and tiring. When I got a 300lb/ft impact gun, it changed my fucking life. I can rip suspension out in like 30 minutes on most cars now.

Like I said, it's all relative. Sure, not everyone has the tools or know-how. They probably shouldn't be fucking with cars in that case.

door panel retainer

40 pack is like 5 dollars on ebay/amazon

...

Pass it bro

heey you make me not feel so bad about my recent purchase
>previous owner did a shit job taking car of interior
>weatherstripping peeling in some places
>engine light is on, thinking(hoping) its an O2 sensor, (stupid vague as fuck p0420 code)
>Ebrake is jammed, can't push it down to engage
>something fucked with the audio system, crackling when i hit bumps
>quick faint grindy noise when i straighten the wheel after a sharp slow turn
>service traction system randomly on start
>light rust in some inconspicuous areas (under the moonroof are you fucking kidding me?)
still love the ol gal she just needs some TLC from a real man since whoever owned her before was a huge piece of shit for letting such a gorgeous machine start to wither, glad I got my hands on it so it can be loved again.

No real gent would drive without either this or a dancing Hawaiian girl in his car.

do you guys open the package completely once you get it? can't deal with all that freshness

S2k seats I think

This. I'm also fixing to replace all interior/trunk lights with LED's

You can get a low mileage LSD (for my car at least) for 400, new coils for 500-1200, but BBKs for most cars are way over that. Used OEM kit in decent condition for my car is 900-1500 with rotors depending on luck. But I'm going on prices for my car, which shares parts with a 370Z so there's tons of competing companies.

I figured ~$500 would be about right for miatas, Hondas, and other common cars on here without the "Infiniti tax" where everything is magically 30% more.

Some may say... TOO FRESH.
