Thats a pretty cool OP

>should we make this push rod seal easily replaceable?
>nah, that'll probably never go wrong

What kind of motorcycle should I get?-I am 5'5" female, 130 pounds, never rode before but I want a bike that isn't a "beginner" bike-I want to have it a couple years and not grow out of it. Interested in cruising bikes

Ninja 300 abs

>wanna get a FZ-09 because buying yet another dual sport would just bore me
>I'm 6'5 and I've read that dudes who are 5'10 can flat foot it easily

Other than that it sounds like my fucking dream bike. I can always raise the seat height, right?

>German-sized
Just get a big-assed BMW and be done with it.

Z300

But 9k for a 100+hp street fighter makes my dick hard and I don't want to spend three quadrillion dollars

NEW BIKE JUST ARRIVED WOOOOOOOO

I bought these gloves for 7.9$ and they alright

KLR 650

>$3quad
It's a BMW, not a Bimota, Aprilia, or Ducutty. Still expensive, sure, but they're badass. I'm 5'9" and so too short to ride almost any modern BMW besides maybe that cafe racer knockoff thing they made.

what bike?

No they're not. I have the same ones and use them for sailing because they're pretty much garbage for motorcycles.

>Already a loose thread

gsxr 750 k4

I'll give them a look, but I think their only street bike similar to the FZ09 is the F800R, and it's like 2k more expensive.

>I suppose since I'm financing it doesn't matter anyway

How does does the fact that you're female influence the recommendations?

Hope a soccer mom rolls over you on the test ride, attention whore.

female = too weak to pick up a big bike

>Putting Bimota in the same bracket as Aprilia and Ducucky
you dolt

How much more should I expect to pay for insurance as a first-time rider considering I don't already drive a car?

>gsxr 750 k4
i thought dohc engines didn't have pushrods?

It's the clutch push rod seal

turbo busa

just say you're experienced
duh

I had one similar and it's save my hand when I first slide with my bike.
for winter glove I would have buy something better, because the chinese gloves don't keep your hand warm enough.
fabric might not be top tier but it's gives you the same defence as non chinese gloves

>Already a loose thread
kek

>women will never understand the simple pleasures of disassembly.

>dolt
Accurate.

All silliness aside, ride both and see what fits better. Another thing I just thought of is to see if there are lower footpegs available for it in addition to raising the suspension. I got lower footpegs for my V-Stronk and it's a bit nicer for longer rides now.

They're going to rip pretty much instantly if you fall on anywhere but the palm slider.

>I will never understand the pleasures of a women

>Already a loose thread

My a* short meme gloves did this after a week. I knew I should have gotten gauntlets

depends where you live.

if you live in a socialist european shit hole where you have to foot the bill for each other, then a lot

if you live in the land of the free, it's pretty fucking cheap (assuming you aren't paying for comprehensive/collision)

hahaha

haha

yes

>tfw severe storm warnings, tornado watches, and no garage

That sectional looks comfy af.

she looks cosy, you're a good nestbuilder user

same
where do you live?

Nice couch, mine's a shit

What golves?

thanks, I wish I could take credit for picking that couch but I'm renting and this place was partially furnished. That couch is nice as fuck though, I'll definitely be getting one of my own once I get my own place

Charleston, SC
I don't think we'll be getting the worst of it, but bad enough that I went out and bought a 2x10-10 board and cut it into 6' and 4' to use as ramps to get over the curb and lip by the front door and into the living room. Had no other way to get it in here unfortunately

>tfw Alabama

it's fascinating isn't it. people spend their entire lives researching the differences between the male and the female brain and even though science can't find anything tangible, the reality can't be denied. men just have some bizarre innate problem solving critical thinking gene inside them that drives them to do shit like that

also, autism

What on earth is she doing?

bruh you got fucked

I have a friend in Charleston. Hope shit goes OK for you guys.

>ramps
If your engine/lower fairing has enough clearance, then you can hop curbs easily enough. CC taught me how to do it and it came in handy when I had to turn around at a gated parking lot (long story, but they don't allow bikes because their induction loops are poorly calibrated and the operators are too dumb to fix it) and nobody behind me would back up enough to let me out. Moved the bike around, set up perpendicular to the curb with the front wheel pretty close to it, bounced the front suspension as I gave it a little gas and let off the clutch. The front wheel popped right on the little island and off I went, mad as fuck.

Charleston is the shit

>look up weather for Alabama and Georgia
Jesus Christ it has begun already.

I wish I could tell you, loud sounds are scary I guess

Thanks, I think we'll be okay. Wish I could've seen that, but my bike just doesn't have the ground clearance. The front was lowered to hell and the previous owner put lowering links in the back. I fucked up my exhaust headers going over a speed bump and have to go over every smooth curb diagonally. Shit is ridiculous

Hello /dbt/

Do any of you happen to know what the fuck kind of motorcycle this is?

copart.com/lot/29042616

I initially thought it was some GSX-S or maybe a GSX-R converted to a stunt bike...but then I ran the VIN and it belongs to some fuckin Chinese company..

WTF is this thing?

I posted this pic last week but I'm out of town for the week and need my fill of Ural posting
>takes 20 minutes to change an air filter
I hope the K&N filter sitting in my mailbox was worth the $40

CFMoto. More or less a step below Hyosung but cheap.

I'll be honest, I hope Hyosung goes the Hyundai/Kia way and gits gud. Could always use more competition and innovation with bikes.

For a design they took from BMW, it doesn't look like my older BMW, more the newer ones.
Only harder to maintain.

>Stop being a nerd virgin

>just bought an R1200GS

RIP my wallet

So I decided to take a little shortcut to work(graveyard shift 3am-11am) this morning and cut through a path cutting through a field of overgrown grass and I had fun but upon reaching work I had a flat tire. I got a ride home bye some fuccgirl who jumped up quick offering a ride on her truck when she heard I had a flat. Women driving trucks is pretty hot tho. get home and head to the shop and get a new tube, and I manage to swap the tubes but I spend an hour trying to bead the tire. end up pumping the tube too much and it will no longer hold air. 5:30pm now, shop is closed and I should've been asleep 4hrs ago. This bike is my only mode of transportation, wish I had the chick withe the truck's number. Life is great.

Post pics

>TUBED TIRES

ENJOY YOUR FATAL BLOWOUT

What year and options?

I brought my VFR home today from storage. Did anyone else get to ride their bikes for the first time in a while today?

:^)

If only there was a semi going through the green.

How would a tubeless tire handle a screw the size of your pinky any differently?

I'm not even mad.

revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-smx-2-air-carbon-gloves

bought these at cycle gear without checking reviews. Fingers already frayed from regular use

tubed tires either leak out slowly or remain plugged

tubeless tires always explode

>inb4 it weighs 15 pounds

So someone explain helmet fitment to me.

I currently wear a large. Fits kind of snug, but I can turn it a few inches before my head turns with it.

I went to the shop the other day. Found out I can actually fit in a medium of the same helmet type. It feels very tight though. No play at all.

Which one should I be wearing? Tight as fuck one. Or snug one.

"A few inches" sounds too far. Should feel pretty damn snug new, will loosen up a bit as the padding compresses.

Tight when new

wrong
they just deflate quickly
and they're a lot easier to repair

They changed the frame and valve covers on the modern ones. I wish I had one with the slanted back frame like the original BMWs. I've been looking into getting a Chang Jiang imported from China and getting it done in glossy black

>harder to maintain
I would put the maintenance difficulty at like.... medium easy?

trying to move the helmet should pull on your cheeks. tight as fuck without pain.

Yeah I made the same mistake, they're fucking shit.
Luckily, the one time I went down on asphalt it was starting to get a little cold outside and decided to wear my nice Dainese instead of these. Ended up with a thumb fracture, I dread to think what my hand would've looked like in those

With my old BMW replacing the air filter took like 5 minutes and that was one of the harder regular jobs.
Only hard thing was replacing the starter, as that was located on top of the engine. That meant getting the tank off, removing the airbox, top and front engine cover and then unbolting the starter with no room for your tools.

I want it.

What is the best 250cc dual sport for the money?
I want to use it for on and off road with dirt and sumo tires

What are some decent cruisers between 650 and 1000 cc for under $6k?

Why would you limit yourself to 250cc? That's just stupid, especially for road use.
The DR-Z400S is the best dual sport, period.

If you absolutely have to get a 250, the Yamaha WR250R is your best bet.

Because I already have a fireblade and want something really light also

Magna 700/750

Anything Japanese, really. Would a VMAX work? It's 1200cc, though. Don't go Murrican unless you hate your money. Suzuki Intruder, Honda Shadow, the big Kawis...

Less seesees doesn't mean lighter. The WR250R is barely lighter than a DR-Z400. Both are significantly heavier than a real dirt bike like a 450EXC.

The Airbox is annoying to get to as you have to undo both air branches, undo two bolts holding the box on, undo the breather tube, wriggle it out, then undo 6 bolts to open it up. There are upgrades that can be popped open in a few seconds without removal but this one works fine IMO.

It's not difficult at all, just more time consuming

get a real cruiser fairy boy

>The WR250R is barely lighter than a DR-Z400
fuq I might just get the DRZ then

The WRR will feel like a scooter compared to that. Get a rebuilt DRZ or 701

VTX1300 if you're willing to go up a bit in size

>Get a rebuilt DRZ or 701
I was thinking about a 690 for a while
What do you mean by rebuilt DRZ?

Would an FZ07 make a good beginner bike?

Indian Scout 60

I had that exact desk once. Got rid of it when I moved.

yes actually
you don't want to drop it though

yz250fx because personal bias.
>tfw can't even be road registered

>What kind of motorcycle should I get?
Get a --
> Interested in cruising
Um... Something with abs.

Is it bad that I want this solely because of the striple headlights?

seattle.craigslist.org/oly/mcy/6072412410.html

limit? a drz is not much faster than a wr250x. Plus the drz feels like a pig compare to the x.

XR250s if you don't give a fuck about sumo

WR250 if you do

Yes and no, not really a bike you want to be making stupid little mistakes on seen as parts for them are fairly expensive.

Yeah but at least the lemon isnt made out of a chocolate infused alloy.
