no

It's disappointingly close to the hatch 'sport' rather than being a middle ground between that and the actual God machine Type R.

kill yourself

>non type r civic after ek
>god machine

>Civic Si Sedan and Coupe models are promised to have an MSRP "in the mid-$20,000 range"

Wew

>FWD

>fake vents

Would consider buying as DD if it wasn't ugly as your mom's butt.

But will there be a hatch?

>all those kiddies bitching about power
They do realise its a turbo right? A couple hundred dollars for a Hondata flash and you'll be making boatloads of more power

Sucks that wages haven't kept up with inflation. Maybe I could be your wage tonight.

Still fwd. You'll still get BTFO from a dig even if you had 250 hp. Look at the type r 0-60 for instance. It's a second and half slower to 60 than an awd with that much power

whats better RWD or AWD?

>Bragging about power in a fwd car

>205 HP
ahaha

>'you dont understand mom. I NEED rear-wheel drive to be like takumi!'

>muh 0-60 times

I guess you've never owned a fast fwd car user.

Wheel hop, understeer, and torque steer are very real things.

The Type R has dialed all of those things down, even if they didn't it'll still be faster than your bus

It's not about going in a straight line, it's about being able to turn

Type R is faster than the Focus RS and the Mustang GT.

What if I told you this thread wasnt about the $35,000 type R?

>4 cylin
>205hp
>FWD
Wtf is this crap? Is this car fast? Am I reading this wrong?

What if I told you the Si has suspension bits from the Type R?

bump

Bits is one thing.

"it's encouraging to hear word of fatter 235/40 R18 tires (summer tires are optional), stiffer springs and bigger anti-roll bars (30 percent up front, 60 percent out back), unique solid bushings and front upper control arms swiped from the Civic Type R. "

The Civic Si will not have "A front-strut suspension—Honda calls it Dual Axis—reduces the torque steer normally associated with high-powered front-drive vehicles"

The struts and many other important pieces will not be standard on the Site.

Sorry user.

It's a sports trim economy car. It's faster and more fun than most other commuter boxes. The Si has usually been a fun car.

I'm not sure I can get into the lower redline though. Harder to pretend you're a speedy speed boy with that generic exhaust note in the video.

how did honda manage to make such a tiny spoiler look so awful

>It's faster and more fun than most other commuter boxes

Except the GTI, WRX, Camaro 4 cylinder, ecoboost mustang and Focus St.

Oh right, that means it's going to be an understeering pig like an Audi, right?

You've driven all of them?

Historically you could get an Si for less money than any of those in most cases.

Until we know the actual final price it may or may not be worthwhile.

Honda said "Mid $20k"

apple and oranges.
FWD is sour grapes

LWD

Nope, haven't driven the si because it's not out yet. But all the cars I mentioned at faster and in the same price range.

Hey, if you want to spend 25k on a 1.5L Civic be my guest.

How do you know they're faster if you've never driven the Si?

they fucked up. the focus st is way better for the price

then again people will proudly pay whatever price honda asks for whatever garbage they shit out

Hey, at least it's better looking than the Type R abomination (which reminds me of your mom's butt, mind you)

It's still too big to be a civic
