tfw i have never driven an MR car
I have high expectations.

OP, there are multiple MR layouts, RMR where the engine is behind the driver, and FMR where it is in front of the driver. I prefer RMR because I use a forklift and golf cart a lot, so the handling characteristics are roughly the same between the two, which is nice, but it's really just preference as long as it's a true mid engine.

AWD = Awesome Wheel Drive

Expect to be dissapointed

FMR = penis mobile

Front mid rear

Try to lift of gas mid corner for fun times.

...

>tfw test driving mr2
>come up to a tight corner at too high a speed, too late to brake
>just keep throttle down
>it just flies through it with 0 problems
mr is elder god tier layout

Only a problem if you're at 9/10 of the car's grip limit or higher

You have my attention, please explain more

Basically, cars for people who don't have kids, jobs, friends, or need a car for any practical purpose..

Only typical millennial types drive these things. They're basically the hipsters of the car world.

previa confirmed penis van

a wagon for transportation
MR shitbox for hooning/track/weekend drives

not too hard if you aren't europoor

Have you seen how big the truck of a NSX NA1/NA2 is?

>millennial
>driving an MR with a short wheelbase
Is this what you tell yourself to justify your responsible and mature cuckbox?

I want no compromises in my sports car.
Stay a faggot and drive your suv

Oh no you didn't...

Why is there no MF drivetrain? Seems like it would be a pretty sweet deal.

It would have awful driving dynamics. Understeer up the ass. Also the main advantage of FF is economy. Engine in the rear and front drive would be expensive. It would be cheaper to just make it MR

Because taking weight of the wheels that provide both power and steering will fuck up the handling.
Weight will always go to the rear under acceleration, so if you move the engine back the rear will get loaded even more, leaving the front to struggle for any traction.

It would be to cars what Skrillex is to music.

MR=Massive Regret

convertable cars running on garbage can lids for wheels would have better handling than that.

MR, Rotary, etc. cars that were discontinued because they are based on failed technologies with stupid cult followings are for cucks.

They are to Veeky Forums what furries are to /b/

5/10

An important and longstanding tradition?

Fucking love it

or just find an FF to do it in. my fucking civic will lift throttle oversteer as bad as my RR beetle.

What's in the front of a NSX?

chebby LS1

MR= Mad retard.

>MR2 Spyder with a hardtop
Holy fuck I've never seen this before

I like Toyota

But their non-turbo cars are trash compared to Honda or the Miata (double wishbone> Macpherson struts)

911's have macphersons and multi links. Guess they're all shit too.

Porsche's are track cars

Bump steer and dynamic camber gain aren't issues on baby smooth tracks
99% of driving isn't done on the burgerking

They are

so...great?

Nurburgring is not a baby smooth track. It's got loads of bumps. And it's not like they're live axle or something. It's not a big deal.

Guess what this car has?

Porsche isn't stupid. They just like $$$
>Nurburgring is not a baby smooth track

Show me one piece of ***CRACKED PAVEMENT*** on the Nurburgring.

I'll wait

>he doesn't want a car that is superior on the touge

enjoy bump steering into a guardrail

That's hilarious because the Toyota MR-S has multi-link and Macpherson suspension. Guess what? It fucking owns on the touge.

Here it is spanking your ''''''''superior'''''''' double wishbone honda in the corners

youtube.com/watch?v=0VKJzRTHhuw

TPS has a front subframe replacement kit for the MR-S to convert to double A arm

>he didn't even mention the ridiculous bump steer spin
You must Really like guardrails

"FR" stands for For Real

because its the only layout anyone wants to drive irl

"MR" stands for snap oversteer and fucking die

pussy

>rx-vision
>cayman
wut

miatas do not have macpherson suspension you dingus

Mr-s doesn't have bump steer issues, that was the sw20

traverse MR a shit
longitudinal RR a best

dab the brake mid corner for maximum respect

All Macpherson strut suspension vehicles experience bump steer
it's in their design

Formula 1 uses MR still

Yeah but it's pretty minor in the mr2 spyder unless you alter the suspension geometry

9/10 normi agree
traverse FF is the best

>MR
>Discontinued
Wow, you're not only a bus rider, but a short bus rider.

all double wishbone suspension has bump steer as well
even if everything is perfectly aligned, it'll come back as soon as you turn the wheels
