I'm thinking about buying and modding a 350z. Thoughts? Recommendations?

I'm thinking about buying and modding a 350z. Thoughts? Recommendations?

Enjoy it. It's a great car. Market value for the older ones are pretty good right now

Suicide

weld the diff get a hydro get some arms and go drifting :)

just stance it they look good like that get a nice exhaust cuz vq is alright when it comes to v6

>this

>350z looks better than pre-refresh 370

What did they meme by this?

I hate z's and I agree with this

Checked
I've seen some new one's are around 10k. Would that be a good price?

Breddy value honestly. Maybe drive a g35 as well if you want back seats.

>having friends

I don't understand? What are you guys talking about?

This is what the 370z originally looked like.

>modding

don't

When was the facelift? When the leds were added?

2012 apparently.

Ok so going back to the original statement.

The consensus is that the 350z is better looking than the 2009-2012 370z?

Sorry if I'm being overly anal about this, I'm just being really autistic atm

No

I don't know if it's the consensus, but that's my opinion at least.

The 350 is better looking than a 370 period. But both are shit cars. Just get a Mustang gt poorfag.

>mustang gt
>not foxbody
its like you want people to know you suck dick

>just get a girls car
Fuck off with your 5.slow

Its a great car. I had a g35 coupe which was almost the same but I ended up selling it for something more lighweight and nimble. The VQ motor has power but its just super heavy and the early years had notchy gearboxes.

Why do you fags always suggests mustrash gt?
OP might as well cut his dick off at that point.

Why not

Good hp/dollar ratio and fucktons of them on the used market. Just more proof Veeky Forums's primary concern is affordable e-stating.

It's a marketing scam. It's a bottomless money pit. You'll always find something to mod. The aftermarket industry is a trillion dollar industry. Just buy the NISMO and use your money for something useful.

There are so many on the market because they are shit cars and no one wants them anymore

This is one of the most ignorant things ive seen on Veeky Forums

E85, a GOOD turbo kit, uprev, exhaust. 500whp all day. Don't push it past that. If you DO want to, you will HAVE to get a built engine. interior is a little, mehhhhh.

You really think he has that kind of money?

i only ever seen women drive these and they always have curb rash

do you have a vagina or plans to grow one?

You know it's a dedicated track car right?

350zfag here. great car. just make sure to get a non base model for the vlsd. nothing worse than open diff.

isn't vlsd shit?
didn't 350z had torsen or something?

>Thoughts?
smelly dumb nissan scum
>Recommendations?

Heres youre (u)

Ye

The brakes overheat too because no airflow

Its a tourer, not even a sports car desu.
But if you keep it on the street and get rid of VDC it's rly good.

Why are you morons in such denial?
Nissan builds shit cars.
You're retarded if you deny it.

Tourers have more than 2 seats

you should go to the dealership and say "Imma need about $3.50"

So its not even a tourer then but a shitty average coupe

Got it

>track car
>will never actually see the track

kek

pretty much, VQ is also horrible on engine oil (consumption AND overheating) and the brakes suck dick all around (pad knockback, and easily overheating without good pads and ducting)

the g35/g37 is a way better street car/tourer for a good reason, especially after the 05/06 facelift. its probably the last "good" nissan after the q50 came out.

Why do you think it's not a sports car?

Beware of oil consumption to a lot of the DE revup platforms and some of the HR's. My first DE did it, but not my HR.
Traded my HR for a 370z.

VQ maitenance platform is relatively easy to understand.

How did you mod your 350? If modded.

memes

Rotary swap.
It will burn less oil and be more reliable that way.
Cant help you with the shit interior or handling though.

>I'm thinking about buying and modding a 350z. Thoughts? Recommendations?

Build an exotic monocoque frame and stretch a fake ass two-piece 350 body shell over it.

Or tubular aluminum if you're a cheap fag.

Actually, if you're willing to go that far, a fiero is probably a better starting point. Ultra super modified Porche boxter covered in fiero

the new z car is NOT a suitable start point.

>VQ maitenance platform is relatively easy to understand.
Elaborate on that pls?

well that picture is old but as of right now here are my mods
>stance coilovers
>cfr angle kit
>tomei single exit exhaust
>street faction chasis mount wing
>tomei titanium y pipe
>invidia test pipes
>aem cai
>motordyne plenum spacer and lower plenum

i got a blown rb26 in my garage, when i save enough im gonna rebuild it and throw it in my z.

Thats a girl car.

Thats real good.

lmao what a faggot

>stance coilovers
get out nigger

He didnt post a mustang, check your glasses

Everything is superficial, nothing is functional. Also, what the fuck are stance coilovers? Just perches set way too low with cut springs and terrible damping or something?

i stopped reading right at the "stance coilovers"

Fair enough.

it's a pretty fast car

Well, subjectively its not as easy as the old D/B/H-series motors, but its pretty much a standard V dual bank motor with a plenum instead of a traditional intake manifold design.

It performs relatively very well under excess stress. The only issue with the VQ35's was the oil consumption. A lot of that is accounted for the shitty PCV system recycling the oil waste. A catch can really solves the issue.

this problem was addressed and fkxed by the 2007 model 350z, pls do your research. pls google moar. pls. your autism is beaming at this point

The S2000 is really like a beefed up Miata IMO. The problem with it was they weren't mass produced as much as the Z.

make sure to get a non-base model one from 2007 or newer. youll get VLSD, and the engine was updated that year from DE to HR, meaning the oil consumption problem was fixed, the engine runs smoother, and you habe a little extra hp.

This. HR is what you want OP.

>You're retarded if you deny it.

You're retarded if you came here to give advice on something you dont know about. The VQ35HR already addressed this problem and fixed it. just dont be an idiot and buy an older Z.

Wanna buy it op?

No it didnt
Thats not its only issue

Good lord you guys are ignorant.

Another problem if you grab a 75k+ miles, I would recommend replacing Camshaft position sensors w/harness. That's fairly coomon wear and tear issue people generally overlook

I can smoke the fuck out of it in my 1994 EG hatch with a couple of simple mods:

- 10 point cage with Parachute
- 3 piece discontinued JoJo frontend

Fake news that front is for sure a bodykit

>SUV engine
>electronic systems designed to keep the car from sliding or being any fun to drive
>automated wheel braking system that you cannot disable unless you physically remove the vdc devices / sensors themselves and fuck with the wiring
>lack of feedback to the road and poorly designed interior and ergonomics
>not practical at all despite its size and weight (1500kg+ heavier than a supra buy with less power and worse everything overall)
>trash-tier brakes in the early models
>even the 4 piston brembos have shit oem pads and fade after a minute of track time
>ugly (objective)
>doesn't respond well to bolt on mods and more power is difficult to gain without taking apart/rebuilding the engine

Idk lol

There's an actual company called Stance Coilovers

They make cheap trash-tier sub $1000 coilovers out of Taiwanese scrap metal, fucking up both the handling and comfort with stiff springs and mismatched shit quality damper internals/valving.

They make products for kids who fall for placebo and think that having rock solid bouncy suspension that's dangerous at high speeds is an improvement over months of testing & development by Nissan and their OEM stuff.

The types of people that buy them are the ones who go "omg a 3 inch drop and 99-step adjustable inconsistent and irregular damping, I'll buy this over the Ohlins-built Nismo coilovers, the proven German developed KW with smooth damping, or Bilstein dampers that cost the same or less and will function for life with great comfort and handling!!!!!"

most of your points are bullshit, aside from the brakes, which is easily solved by aftermarket or buying later years

not to mention
>car faster than it's competitors
refer to >lol it's not a sport car

Really made me think.

>numbers are all that matter when i buy a car

a motorcycle is faster but that doesn't make it a sports car

it was tbe only that guy was making, si merely argued that one point. good job embarassing yourself

A minivan is fast too.
Doesnt make it a sports car

>nissans are shit and have many issues
>somehow embarrassed someone who doesnt have one
What?
Whats truly embarrassing is owning a nissan and your spelling skills

what fuckretarded logic is this? how does that apply to 350z?
if it's not a sport car then what is it? and what makes that the cars slower than it?
seriously what the fuck

>if it's not a sport car then what is it?

Like I already said, it's a simple coupe.

so a simple coupe is faster than the sports cars in it's class? makes perfect sense

See>3.5L "guys trust us it's a sports car" - Nissan shitbox slower than a 2 liter Honda on 2003 tyres with the top down affecting aerodynamics and held up by a BMW

ok
