>car made past 2008

One day I dreamed I was driving in some high-end wealthy neighborhood and i lost control of my car and crashed into a line of expensive cars (Ferrari, Maserati, etc) and totaled all of them and the insurance company wouldn't pay up.

I woke up in a cold sweat and I thanked the Lord I live in the middle of nowhere and have never been in an at-fault accident.

>driveshaft crumbles in heavy traffic

pretty spooky mang

Trigger warning

>lift clutch too early
>switch gear

Chhrrrkkkk

Chevy Bolt rear view mirror is actually a screen and 2 cameras.

1.3 megabytes of absolute shit.

Thanks.

You... you can't be serious, right?

That sounds horrifying enough to be true knowing GM...

>Push in clutch to change gear
>Foot off gas pedal
>revs don't drop

>allen head bolts

Nothing wrong with allen fixings

naw dude just naw

let me rephrase that:
>rounded out 6mm allen head bolts that you have to waste a day looking for an extractor that fits

>security bolts
>clutch all the way in, start spins the flywheel but it doesn't even engage with the engine
>let off throttle and shitty hybrid stops instead of coasting

>brakes fail on a steep mountain road

You probably had trouble because those are torx

at least they have a bit of area left to cut into

>things that never happened: the thread

It's called horror, not 'Things that I swear happened', you dumbtrip.

...

>Threads I dont understand: the post

>DEPENDENT SUSPENSION

Codependent suspension.
One wheel is always doing something wrong/harmful, other wheel goes along.

YOu must understand this, and forever revel in the factual basis

Socket Head Cap Screws are the best and only useful fastener ever invented.

The only thing worse thsn TORX is revers TORX socket

>First car is a Ranger
>Previously was used to haul around pool chemicals
>This always ruins the bed and rear of frame
>Replaced the bed when I got it, frame was still solid(visibly rusty as fuck)
>3~ years of loving it later
>Hop into bed using rear bumper as step
>Bumper is ready to fall off

The end is near, how do I say goodbye to my first love?

>using the wrong size allen key

They're both always wrong for targeting crowds

f

In this situation I'd go down in first or second, periodically using the paking brake so it doesn't overheat.

call it whatever, your trying to fool people believing it's real, it's not.
>implying this hard

anything past that point is fat ugly garbage

old cars are inferior

baby boomers get out reeeee

depends if it was the frame i would buy another ranger if you like em and use it as a parts truck

>tripfag gets rused: the post

Wtf causes this besides compromised TPS

>based tripfag makes filtering so much easier

Fucking underrated post

>electronic throttle
>electronic power steering
>any computerized controls whatsoever

It's like you want the CIA to murder you

I personally like the idea of electromechanical power steering, because then you have less load on the engine. Only problem is, they digitize shit so it's unsafe.

Proprietaryfags please go

Lol, you stupid cunt.

>projecting
not an argument btw.

>remote controlled cars

SPEEDY SPEED BOY

why does everyone but me drive with the brightest possible aftermarket headlights on the brightest possible setting as soon as the sun sets

>YFW you realize you're the one projecting in the first place
ggnore.

Fine by me, I don't want to get hit by a light-less night driver again.

>being this delusional
i haven't projected anything yet. you dumb dumb..

Have you even driven a modern manual car before? They all have terrible throttle lag which makes starting off a pain, and changing gears typically results in slight over-revs for every gear.

>tool to remove bolt/screw is only sold by the manufacturer

Lmao they look like sharingans

>implying 2004/2005 wasn't the peak of car obesity

I dreamt that I rear ended a small pickup truck on my motorcycle and totaled my bike and was at fault. Spooked me awake and I had to realize it wasn't real

torx and mm hex heads are the only acceptable car fasteners

More like past the mid 90's.

Pentalobe looks pretty sturdy.

>timing belt melts

Get an $89 welder from Harbor Freight and fabricate a new frame section.

Electro-mechanical still loads the engine.

Driving behind some random Veeky Forums user's shoddy welding at 80 is pretty relevant to the thread topic.

oh god
>planned timing belt job
>never did it before
>finally pop off the cover
>1/4th of belt is missing
>literally grinding itself off on the inside of the cover
>nasty black goop everywhere
>2 cans of brake clean later
>timing is still perfect

Once I crashed into a car and majorly fucked it up. There was no doubt it was my fault. The car was unregistered, with no insurance, and I had no license.

I woke up in a cold sweat then a sense of irrational satisfaction that I escaped a major fuckup only because I was asleep and that it didn't actually happen.

Half true: youtube.com/watch?v=hPix7YHHSW4

that's pretty cool. i knew of a few aftermarket rearviews that do a backup camera built into the mirror like this

Once dreamt i murdered somebody who broke into my car with a screwdriver buried him in a forest and went home to sleep. Woke up in the same clothes i went to sleep in my dream with. Was pretty spooked the day after

>buy a Focus RS
>realise you should have got an STI instead

Every dream I've ever had where Im driving I always end up crashing or not being able to control the car

>buy and STI
>realise you should've got an evo instead

how was 04/05 the peak of obesity after that cars started to get fatter and started to have retarded proportions

>manual tranny
>broken E-brake cable

That's what reverse is for

>Buy an evo
>Realize you should have kept your STI

>Buy Evo
>realize you've somehow gone back in time to 2008
