What's everyone playing tonight? I'm practicing DOJ; it's going terribly. Gonna switch to Nioh if this keeps up.

I've been slacking, these past few days I've spent a lot of my free time playing Melee with a friend.

When I do play, I'm focused on Deathsmiles. Right now I'm considering practicing the Forest stage more, because I play that one first and getting stuck in reset hell is really grating sometimes. So if I can get more consistent at doing the first stage right, it should save me a lot of grief in the long run because the five stages after that feel relatively consistent compared to it.

I've also taken a few attempts here and there at improving my non-Canyon PB (which happens to also be my overall PB) now that Hades Castle Lv1 Death Mode isn't as scary to me, but somehow or another I still wind up blowing that anyways.

Working on DOJWL as well myself, right now I'm trying to reroute Hibachi since I can't seem to get my old 3-miss route from BL to work. It's not going very well though, I know high level players like FFF dodge the second attack with a hyper, but it reaches a point where the bullets are going so fucking fast I can't even read the pattern anymore.

1943 on nes,it's pretty easy, got to stage 8 yesterday, 8 more to go. great game, if you have a softspot for nes graphics and sound this is a must play.

If you're holding a stick in your lap it's easy to get distracted unless you've fapped enough.

Anyways, she can be pretty tough. Her spell cards change depending on which shot type you're using, so some shot types might have a (slightly) easier time with her than others. You should be able to consistently do her non-spells just fine, and then don't be afraid to bomb spell cards when they start to feel overwhelming. It's been a few years so I don't particularly remember her spell cards, but as I recall they (and a lot of spell cards in EoSD in general) boil down to random dodging, so I don't think there's much advice that can be given.

How does beating the TLB sound?

Try playing some easier Toaplan games to get the idea first, like Flying Shark. Raiden is tough, especially with checkpoints on.

I'd be down for posting a screenshot of what I'm playing/the results from my most recent run, but being the only person to do it would be awkward.

I usually do it when getting a new PB or getting further in survival.

I used to post screengrabs, posters, music, and "what are you guys up to?" a lot, but no one does and I'm not able to post during the majority of the day anymore.

did a credit feeding run in AC and dark helios was easier than I expected. Didn't die fighting it on my first go.

Never played the game, but I know in Darius games it usually is the case that the rank increases when you pick up the red power ups.

My controlls for CCWI don't work correctly anymore somehow.
When I hold down lock-on, the ship somehow fires lock-ons anyway, and it's only at certain places in the game. It's really weird.
