that means complete service records with high quality parts and fluids serviced by a reputable mechanic, and I usually ask them to drive me around in it first so I know they weren't destroying the transmission or doing other dumb shit

any rust is a deal-breaker

I'd say pre-OBDII but mostly because I've just happened to own exclusively late 80's - early 90's Japanese sports cars, I do my own maintenance so having something straightforward and well-engineered without being overly complicated is helpful

car's interior must be pretty clean, I don't drink coffee in my car, I keep it in a tight thermos. No eating in my car either, and if you bring trash into my car, take it with you you shithead. I also like a nice, polished and waxed body, but right now the pollen levels are through the roof, so I'll need to wait

Also, I like my car without an infotainment system, just a simple radio with a CD player and an aux jack.
