Drawfriend here; important question to all interested:
I've noticed a lot more requests for the Echo /ss/ pic than the POV sequel to the Frost smut I promised a couple threads back.
I want a quick vote on how many of you want which one first. I can definitely do the /ss/ first for variety if enough people want me to, because I'm getting both done eventually anyways.

And as for the /ss/, I need more feedback on what you want with it. Never drawn shota before, so I need to know your tastes so I can make it as pleasing as possible, no matter when I end up getting started on it.

Well I remember somebody saying that you should use the flash hider if it was under a certain rpm and if it was over said rpm you should use the compensator. Couldn't remember what it was.

but shields are completely balanced now ignore the fact that they can do that while being invincible to everything

Flash hiders on SMGs most of the time since they reduce horizontal recoil and help more with bursts, Muzzle Brakes for most ARs since most of them have more significant first shot recoil, and Muzzle brakes help a lot with easing into the recoil of the shots following the first and make control feel more consistent.
If you don't have an issue with first shot recoil on a rifle though, Flash hider is the way to go due to the slight horizontal recoil reduction, plus no more muzzle flash means it's easier to track your targets.
I never use compensators since the early shots in a burst are always the most important, and comps take way too long to start having an effect.
Use what you find works best, but this is where I start for each gun.

I haven't gotten started on either yet, so I was just asking so I don't start getting pressured to do the Echo piece while I'm already working on the other. I know at least one user was already getting impatient, so if people want it more I'd rather work on that since I've already pleased the Frost fans long enough to hold them over (I think).

Just finish the Frost one first since it seems like you've been working on it for a bit anyways.

As for the /ss/ maybe do cowgirl, one with Mira and one with IQ. Unless you can think of a creative way of including them both in one pic with Echo.

Red Crow is his best seasonal imo, but the rockstar one actually grew on me since I first saw it. At least it's designed fairly well despite being more on the gaudy side. I still use Orbit though.

Just like Headcrusher (or whatever it's called) grew on me, i've liked Orbit less and less since I bought it. I'm thinking of making the switch over to the rockstar headgear, but Red Crow is a good choice regardless.

pic related is unironically my favorite skin in the game, and I almost feel bad for it since I normally only like the simpler ones like the new Grey and Black skins, and the older cold war universals.

Vague question. It depends on who you play, but you should honestly be upgrading all of the guns you think you'll ever use.

Well I usually play Rook, Mute, Pulse, Thermite, and Twitch.

All of them? I can't think of a gun that performs best naked. Even if you prefer iron sights, vert grips are always a plus with no downsides, and you'd always want some muzzle device over nothing.

MP5 for rook, F2 for Twitch, and the automatic choices for all of the other ones.

Shotguns don't need attachments to be usable so no need to waste renown if you're still low level. Twitch's F2 is great but the 417 is still viable so do whichever you prefer.

I really wish that skin was a universal one. It's very colorful and pleasing to me.

YES

Theoretically, if you can land headshots like a fucking machine, absolutely.
Given liability of human error though, probably not. More bullets per second gives you more chances to kill and more room for error, which pretty much everyone needs.

What are the best shotguns? Don't some characters have beetter shotguns than everyone else?

SPAS-15 is p much the best in game right now.

It's colorful, while still being clean and well designed, unlike pic related and other cancer skins the game has.

Most of the shotguns are viable, there are only a couple that perform significantly worse than others. Everyone will give you a different answer, but just know the FBI shotgun and GEO secondary shotgun are probably the weakest of them all currently.

I'd argue the Supernova is the most underwhelming shotgun currently.
You need ~3 shots just to drop someone in the same room. That' unacceptable in a game where you die in half a second to anything else.

Not true.
It has one of the longest shotgun kill ranges in the game if you aim for center mass like you're supposed to, right next to the Frenchie shotgun. Are you aiming for the head? that doesn't deal any additional damage anymore.
Having a tighter spread with slightly lower damage just means you have to really center your aim on the enemy, and you can't kill as easily with only half of the crosshair over their mass.

I hate shotguns in general. They always seem to be worthless or broken. (Or worthless outside of a 5 foot range.)

People get them from buying the season passes. Playing a ton is another way to unlock them.

If you bought the starter edition don't expect to pretty much ever purchase all of the characters in game, because they increased the grinding so much.

Montagne is a toxic kit in general. Basically the only way deal with him is to waste ALL of your explosives and hope he's low enough, to abuse the ping/latency to knife him, or to run.

I really love when the game decides not to count towards my challenges, its not annoying at all haha

Montagne is good, people just don't play him right. He's annoying, but how threatening he is depends on a lot of factors that can't be as easily abused without good coordination on the defense.
Barbed wire, Smoke, and Echo can all deal with him pretty well, but in lower skill-levels you don't see as much Echo or razor wire, and low-level Smokes love to blow their loads early instead of saving them for when they're needed.
