That's 7K life points to summon two link monsters and a random rank 6 or lower and one of those monsters is nothing but a 2600 beatstick. There is more broken stuff in the game currently without a single limit on it.
There are more broken shit currently that is legal.
Even if you aren't stupid and use Missus instead of Decode Talker because Talker gives your opponent a zone to use that's still 6K for not much in the grand scheme of things.
Plus you have to have a completely dedicated extra deck to this one card out of 40. You have to waste 6 of your slots on fusions at least 3 on link monsters giving you wiggle room of a grand total of 6 cards.
Zoodiacs do more bullshit with links than Scientist does with less dedication.

You can use Norden, but you can't link him into Missus.
Or maybe you can use Mithril to link, since she floats, but you need to have Metal she ca floats into.
Or you can summon Deadlyguy for free Link fodder, but again, you currently can't link him into any Link-2.

LP doesn't usually matter you are right. But when you pay everything but 2K to build a field that easily loses to Kaiju + Board Wipe its a lot of shit to end up with nothing of real value.
Best case scenario is you summon infinity along with those two link monsters.
You get ONE negation as protection for this fragile field that loses instantly to a single Kaiju drop.

As long as you use a monster in the zone as a material for it you can summon whatever you want to that zone.
This has always been the rule even when your monster zones are filled up you can use something there as a material for the summon.

How would /dng/ balance an effect that lets you use tuners and/or non-tuners from the deck for a synchro summon?

Restric them to a type and/or attribute.

Trap card that can only be activated during your main phase, cards are banished face down, summoned monster can't be used as a synchro material monster.

Make it a Spell that limits it to 2 cards from the deck so you can't get a 5 Attribute Chaofeng.
