I'm Masters as well, it was half of my climb material to 9k last season, although that's not very impressive given it was a reward month. I'm just sick of hearing people handwave entire archetypes as wholly dead just because they were seen a lot in DE but not often now.

They tried to balance it by making everything a 1/1 so the strongest cards can die to the weakest but the first player has such an advantage so not many people play it.

I would be less irked if there was more amulet destruction like sword to woodlands or Goetia mage that's playable.If dragon got more decent draw so it could run draconification, and everybody in general could take more than odin to deal with what you want banish for. The problem in my shitter opinion, isn't that it exists, it's that I often simply lack the ability to even take cards to deal with it.

I was having huge success with the archetype even before the nerfs rolled out, if you build a value-based core instead of an Urd-based core then the deck is amazing against control whilst still being able to race down Daria/Sword, and of course it bullies the fuck out of Roach/Tempo Elf.

That's probably better to play Doggo + Priestess than Mainyu + Temple.

I love Lion Spirit, he can completely shutdown Aggro on his own, I want him at x3 but I can understand having him at x2. I climbed the ladder with aggro decks, and Lion Spirit was game-losing for me.

Veteran Tamer is probably best at x2 yeah, the card is sometimes awkward to play.

Dang, no mention of Valhallan General? That's cold. I feel like he's one of the unsung heroes of the archetype, curving out of Veteran Tamer in disgusting ways. While I don't have room for Mainyu to really abuse him at his fullest, he's just so good even when synergizing with amulet pops alone.
3x Lion Spirit -> 2x Spirit 1x Themis was a swap I made when Daria was at peak play on ladder, and also because it was really annoying to need a clear but be out of evos sometimes. If this recent trend of way too much Albert Sword keeps up it might be rational to reverse that tech and bring back 3x Lions just for them.

I feel like seraph is really strong against almost every control deck and aggro.

Haven can win against control blood, control sword unless they are more midrange, dragon if you run tribunal, and streamroll control shadow.

They can only be beat by Dirtrune, dshift, roaches and aggro blood if they get a extremely good start and if you brick. Is this accurate?

The only problem is play pure seraph isn't fun.

Not really. Unga has already either lost or won at that point.

If you see someone on turn 6 with a bunch of shadow and you don't expect someone to drop this card on you then you deserve to lose.

Midrange shadow generally pools up a shitload of shadows if they don't have to throw out the big dick foul tempests, 12 shadows shouldn't be uncommon by turn 7

people are focusing too much on the spawn zombies part (which is admittedly really good) when they should be worried about the +2 to attack buff. this guy makes an unanswered death's breath do 12 damage. he forces your opponent to now deal with your attendants and corpses because they will now kill him if they dont. the board building and board breaking aspects are just extras to an already great card

Honestly, I had Valhallan General and he was never that useful. Now, I haven't played enough games to judge the card well, I'm sure he can shine.

I think this """"midrange"""" sword is the most popular deck on the ladder right now, and Lion can clearly help against it. It doesn't help much against mister 5/7 storm on t5, but that's why we run DoD.

I think I've done it once playing as control vampire just to have something on the board. I forgot what my opponent was but I was pretty much ahead and had another one in my hand in case I needed it or something.
