Only really, really big and cute waifus may enter!

Did gorillas sneak out of the Institute again?

I imagine the glowing sea can be pretty comfy. You know, as long as you can get past all of the everything it's got going on.

user, the waifu you posted only fulfills one of those criteria.

Aside from those wide shoulders - very much fuckable

Are there any mods that add the ability to copy objects from the world to build in settlements?

It was a feature in RTS for fallout 3 and I'd really like to be able to do that in FO4. I know there are mods that can just add everything at once but I really like the idea of finding cool shit on my own, copying it, and adding it to my settlements myself.

Deathclaws are easily the worst companion m8

But they're robots...

xth for finding love and happiness in the harsh wasteland

>Not finding love and happiness in the Institute.

>Get trapped in elevators and hallways constantly
>That goddamn roar that staggers you and interrupts your attacks
>Can hardly build up settlements because it's pushing you at all times.
>Half of the "combat" consists of it not even attacking things
>When it does attack something, it either misses or does 50 damage at the most

But it's silly looking and not as squishy as Mirelurk Kings.

Does anyone have some tips on how to be a creative whiz kid with Greygarden?

Ghoulss

Are there any decent settlements with a more central location? I've been trying to work with Hangman's but it's not exactly spacious.

...

scrap shit and make a concrete defense tower with a 5 levels elevator until the top of the bridge

then you put 2 artillery spots

country crossing is the best settlement spot

>Elevator

I forgot about this shit. What's a good elevator mod?

>doesnt post lutana link in OP
kys op

Contraptions comes with 1 already

Yes but it's ugly and it doesn't snap, also its capped at 4 floors

>oxhorn has all these vids of settlemets they've built
>STILL no prebuit settlements mods so I don't have to do shit but wire everything and clear out hostiles

fuck this minecraft shit

>he doesn't have severe autism

settlements in this game are gay

my main settlement is sanctuary and i just put sleeping bags in every available space in one of the pre-built houses

>its a niero uploads another slutwear episode

>Try killing off settlers so I don't need to do the radiant quest
>Sandman generic settler A
>Generic settler B is nowhere to be found
>Try using the workshop anyway
>[You are not allied to this settlement.]
>The radiant quest was probably rescue generic settler B from raiders
>Last save was an hour ago

Why is there never anything interesting under water in this game..

Build upwards, user.
I have first floor crafting and lounge area, second floor beds and top floor food. You can put those squares of soil up there..

Hmm.... Nah.

GW2 spent a lot longer time in development than they initially intended because they wanted to make sure the game had plenty of underwater content.

Everybody hated the underwater stuff though so over the course of the game's life they slowly phased out anything underwater.

...

That's what I've been doing until I wanted to begin my career in autistic factory simulation. I'm just going to see about Country Crossing like that other user said.

what's the most fucked-up vault experiment

I don't mean quests. I just mean shit to see.
Anyone else remember that cave in NV where you find the skeletons playing cards under water? It's just like "oh more cars and shipping crates you cant get into, wee"

Maybe i'm alone in liking to swim everywhere and explore the waters of the game.

I'm pretty sure a significant amount of FO4's development time was spent making underwater content, then they realized most players wouldn't care about it or want to spend any time there (Morrowind had a bunch of underwater shit too, but Oblivion and Skyrim didn't for probably the same reason), and it wasn't worth putting any more effort into, and they scrapped everything and nothing except a few items and quest references got into the final build

So it turns out beast master companions have a static level. As unfortunate as it is, it's probably time to put this one through the meat processor and capture a replacement.

Why is it that I can't spam armour or weapon mods to get codsworth to like me? Is there a cooldown period? If so is it in game time or real time?

any idea where i can get a good amount of .38 ammo

Prove me wrong

Cooldown period. 15 minutes real time.

>Prove me wrong
But why?

>mfw theres no caravan escort missions in modern fallout games

Cheers mate, might as well just build settlements and visit a workbench every quarter of an hour.

this shit is so annoying to deal with
all I want is a self closing door with switches on both sides that stays open longer than half a second

It's like spaghetti junction

Tough jank sugarplum

>not using conduits
>not using logic gates

Why would you encourage that kind of laziness? Take some buffout, lift, use a super sledge to make paths.

NV Hair problem user:
Sorry I was away. That looks more like a EGM issue (the inner hair mesh not properly fitting on your head) than a texture issue.

The _hl is for "highlights", which I think is just a control texture for the hair coloring system (I don't know what that isn't just integrated with the main texture though), and the _n, as with everything in most games with .dds, is the normalmap (in NV the alpha channel on normalmap textures is also the specularity map).

I'm assuming your endgame is to have the braided ponytail hang out the back under hats, right? Unfortunately this will be a lot of work, as all the "hat" meshes for hairs are small cut form-fitting meshes, and you'd have to attach the ponytail to it for it to appear. I'm not sure how easy that would be with NifSkope if even possible (I assume it is though although I'm not that proficient with NifSkope and not sure of it's full capabilities).

But first things first, your current issue is an EGM. I assume you did get the hair into a new BSA? May I ask how you did that or with what program? Also, did you pack the (hairname)hat.egm along with the nif and (hairname)nohat.egm?

The braid is a far off goal, I'm just settling for the hair looking normal while I'm wearing a hat.

And yes I got the .bsa working. Used BSAopt, first copied the original folders into a new folder, dropped the two .egms in where they should be, and chose the folder with the meshes and textures folders as the folder for BSAopt to use.

>niero said it would just be one more slutwear mod
>he said that two slutwear mods ago

how do i make fallout 4 fun

How do you feel about scaffolding?

don't be such a pretentious douchbag

mad af

Anyone know any mods or ini settings that fix the CPU based FPS drops? I have drops to 40 in the cities that have literally nothing to do with resolution or graphics settings.

it's called setting shadow distance to medium

>no railings on the platforms between the ramps
Enjoy falling.
its alright apart from that

I set it to even lower in the ini and that doesn't fix my drops to 40.

Don't play it like a Fallout game and you'll have fun with it

I just hadn't put them in yet fampai

Now that's what I call save, good job. Looks much better than he lift.

Alternate start mod, silent protagonist, any graphical mods to make the game darker(get a flashlight mod to compensate), increase all damage.
Have fun.

thanks

Now what to build up here?

endless warfare, war of the commonwealth, increased spawns, NPCs travel

First of all light up the scaffolding so you don't miss it when you go to walk down.

>not finding love and happiness on the moonbase

This looks very nice. Can the settlers climb it?

I think her face looks ten times better now.

She seriously looked like Kronk before.

She better still pull the lever.

Urgh. Anyone got any idea what mod the 'Atom's Radiance' powerfist comes from? I think it's fucked up my strength stats. I should have 9 strength by default, now I've only got 1 or maybe 3 for some reason.

More Uniques

Is it possible to install a mod from bethesda.net if I torrented the game?

it's hopeless, isn't it?

When are you porting more slutwear to that body, chief?

Tell me you didn't abandon your mod already

more uniques TRAINWIZ

Recently started playing New Vegas again after OD'ing on Fallout 4, figure I'll hold off for a while until some new mods come out and I feel like replaying it.

Anyway the game mostly runs fine but there's one little problem I've run into across old and new saves...

All High Yield Time Bombs are called Battle Rifles and all Battle Rifles are called 5.56 pistols (and in case you're wondering the 5.56 pistols retain their original name, confusingly).

The icons are fine, the effects are the same as would be expected, and after a good deal of trial and error checking every mod I have in the GECK that actually has Gun Runners Arsenal as a master, I've found that none of them actually alters the names of these items.

Likewise I made a mod that specifically only alters these items to put at the bottom of my load order so as to see if it changed their original names back (along with some minor changes to make sure they function like a higher or lower Strength or Explosives requirement, shit like that), but while the stat changes took the names remain the same as before.

You guys got any idea what could be causing this?

Look at what's going on in FNVEdit. It shows the exact changes made to exact items by each mod all at once. Better for these sorts of problems than the GECK, honestly.

Guys I installed Trainwiz's Girthier More Satisfying Melee Weapons mod, before uninstalling it a little while later.

However, my shiskebab is still fuckhuge. What do I do?

I should mention I did that as well.

No mods alter these items (at least after I deleted the one I made in an attempt to change them back to something like their original state).

It's kinda perplexing.

Another fun fact is that when I tried to use that mod to change the names to something completely whacky and fucked up just to see if the names changed in any way at all, there were no name changes -- but the stats were still altered. Time Bombs were still battle rifles, etc.

List mods? The only thing I can think of would be a scripted change, but those aren't really common for NV.

Here's a suggestion

Delete the fuckhuge mesh

What's the easiest way to get a full list of mods without manually typing all of them?

Don't talk down to people.

There should be a plugin list text file along with fallout.ini and shit in that one folder. If you're using MO there's the backup files you can just copy and paste.

Thanks dude!

>install mod via manager
>item is invisible ingame
>install manually
>item still invisible
>extract data from ba2s
>crash when the item is selected

It would honestly be a pretty good weapon if not for this fucking gamebreaking bug.

This; alternatively, if you're using Wrye Bash (And you SHOULD) you can just click below the last mod in the blank space and select "List Mods."

>it doesn't snap
You what? It snaps fine and that guy shows you how to get a level 4 one to get up there with a little balcony.

Alright, I found it through MOPY. What's a good site for posting .txt's?

Does it go away when you take it off?

No. Instead of just giving you a temporary stat boost, it modifies your base stat. With no rads, you have 1 strength. With about 9/10ths of your hp bar as rads, you have around 6, maybe 7. Not even uninstalling the mod fixes it. Had to change my stats with the console to revert it.

Pastebin, naturally.

It's probably a perk if you can find the perk's id you could remove with console.

pastebin.com/RwMN6mk3

The one near the end called DH88 there is a personal mod that combines a few little things I didn't think it was worth having separate mods for. It doesn't make any modifications to weapons or scripts, mostly its minor additions of items and armor that I didn't want near gigabyte-sized filed for one or two things.

Any idea why this mod's helmets won't load properly in my game?

All the armors work fine, but when it gets to the helmet it's suddenly oops, here's a shitty white, unpaintable one, have fun!

Plus it doesn't drop the open faced one, which is my favorite :-(

Jesus.

Run that through LOOT. I can guarantee you'll find a different load order is recommended.

Alright, I did so. Interestingly the only dirty plugins it found were "official" esm's.

Vurt's and Vault 22 Flora Overhaul are the only two mods I've come across that are dirty, and both specifically say cleaning them will break them.

goodbye, wrists.
