Hyperdevotion is definitely the weakest nep I've played so far, but I'll still finish it.

The strategy gameplay does not seem to be too much fun so far, I've really only enjoyed whenever Nep talks during cutscenes.

NepU doesn't really have or need a protagonist. It's not even an RPG so much as it is a senran-style action/hack and slash game. You pick two characters from the full list for each quest in which you kill hundreds of fodder enemies in between cutscenes.
