Alright faggots, give it to me straight. What's the state of this game right now? Are minigames active, and are bots ruining the economy? I've thought about getting back into the game, but I don't want to if it's just going to crash in the near future.

The only super active minigames are the duel arena, wintertodt, and NMZ (which is solo). Economy is fine aside from a few retarded items.

How viable is botting in OSRS? I was like level 115 back when I last played in like 2005, but I don't really want to grind back to 90+ combat stats manually again since apparently you can't transfer your account over.

Combat stats are easy to do, don't bot.

I personally suicide botted 99 agi on a few accounts and I'm not playing the one that didn't get banned. Every other skill isn't really bad anymore.

What is the XP rate like nowadays assuming you train combat with Slayer? I guess I'm probably not going to train the non-combats beyond the minimum I need for quests, since I mostly just like fighting people in minigames or doing PvM.

Depends on how you want to go about it. For combat, an NMZ autoclicker is fairly safe, especially so if you only automate flicking rapid heal and drink abs by yourself.

I got 99 melees and range with my own fully automated AHK NMZ script and didn't get trouble from it, but of course there's always a chance (even if small) to get banned for scripting so if you truly care about your account just go the safe route and skill it yourself. I also don't recommend doing it on new accounts, play the game for a while first and get your stats up to a decent level.

How do ranged levels work? Like what's the difference between 80 ranged and 85 ranged besides the obvious 5 levels.

Not him but how did you level the melees? I'm about 75 with each and thought about just using a whip on controlled, but I didn't know if there was some efficient leveling path someone has discovered.

you should do both since leveling them equally doesn't raise combat

but it also depends on how you are training them because you might get a lot more hp xp than you should which will raise your combat
