Op you fucked up

I don't necessarily see a problem with it as long as they can pass the exact same test required of normal individuals. If they're wavering the regular test or making it easier because they're autistic I'd have an issue, however.

I'd also have an issue if statistics proved that they were a higher risk on the road than normal drivers, at that point it's really not worth letting them feel 'normal' if they're proven to be a higher risk.

>implying a disorder that caused hyperattention to detail and lack of emotion is somehow bad for driving

...

I'm autistic (was actually diagnosed with high functioning austism, previously known as aspergers) and I have a drivers license. I took the same test as everyone else and passed my first try. Meanwhile some of my "normal' firned took 6 or 7 tries to get their license.

pretty much this. If anything being an autistic driver is better since you're more focused on everything around you.

>firned
friends. ugh. Why can't I type tonight?

didn't watch the movie yet but what has it to do with autism? I keep seeing it posted in that context

>implying a disorder that caused hyperattention to detail and lack of emotion is somehow bad for driving

I didn't imply anything, I stated if viable evidence existed saying it was dangerous I would have an issue

That aside, looking at it from what you said that's partially why it would be dangerous; the concept of getting way too caught up in the moment of what you're doing and being overwhelmed then messing up while driving. Just speculation though considering that the title of the article was 'IS IT DANGEROUS'.

All good

Since when is aspergers officially called 'high functioning autism' though, would be me question

>Since when is aspergers officially called 'high functioning autism' though, would be me question
I believe since 2009. or whenever they removed Aspergers Syndrome from the DSM.

Goslings character is meticulous in his planning down to the last detail. He says about 5 words the entire movie, and the only strong emotion he shows is when he smiles at Carey Mulligan and busts some dudes skull open.

Definitely on the spectrum/aspergers.

ah, thank you so much for the explanation.
didn't get to watch it yet but seems like a cool flick.

Lack of emotion is good, but how well can they focus their attention to detail? What if they get distracted and fixated on some dumb shit while they're driving?

>flick
It's a kino.

>my wiper isn't reaching far enough into the windshield corners
>I can't keep my eyes of that fucking rain drip running lopsided downwards
>it infuriates me
>why can't they make wipers that reach into the corn-
CRASH

It's weird and arty, a slow burner that's not really about cars. It is excellent though.

if it's arty without stupid tumblr level faggotry involved I'm very much interested.
thank you guys.

Autist here. getting distracted is generally not a thing for us. We're less likely to get distracted than everyone else. Why?

Because we're hyper sensitive to our environments. Granted to varying degrees, but still. It's a lot harder than you would think for those of us who can pass as "normal".

>news story about irrelevent bullshit meant to fearmonger Concerned Mothers into writing a letter to their elected officials to solve a non problem
Nothing new here.

>tumblr faggotry

Nothing like that. You're good.

>tfw autism
>tfw have a drivers license

:^{

>tfw MB no longer does the single wiper and aesthetic wiping symmetry is dead.

Doesn't fucking everyone have autism at this point?

back then they were ACTUALLY autistic about everything.
now with the global market in focus they only care about what easily fits into the budget

I just want a simple car, that's built like a bankvault, that can clear 400k miles like it was nothing.

Cagers will literally never recover kek!!

>a seperate stand
>for a bicycle
Well, if you were looking to out-autism everyone else, you won.

He never talks, he always has a blank facial expression, he's really into small details, he dresses strange, has tard strength, and he's socially awkward.

>offroad tire but no mudflaps
????
If thats your bike and you ride to work on that fuk u man

no one rides to work on a dh bike with 6 inch travel you donkey
