What do the numbers mean?

It's the kind of room.
Until now they only depend of the door (1 = , etc), but I can use that to make new kind of room.
For exemple, one of the room with only one door will be changed for a number between 16 and 19, which means it'll be a boss room.

I'm texturing directly in Blender. I know many say it's not very good, and that doing it in Photoshop or Krita is better, but I like having a live preview of how it will look.

It's the cowered status from fleeing while in battle, it appears on the door so the player knows what he's about to do.

What does the cowered status do? How severe of a penalty is it for fleeing combat

I have some progress.

Enemies flash white when shot now, and shot markers now flash as well. Added a second weapon, slower RoF but wider spread and more damage. And a miniboss. Also did some UI stuff; main menu, control scheme selection and view scaling.

From a gameplay standpoint, its fairly ready for Demo Day. Presentation-wise, not so much.

working on my space props, it's fun but takes so damn long.

Right now it just increases the "alert level" of all rooms by one, which means every room spawns one additional enemy until rest.
I'll also add an ambushed status if fleeing while already cowered, which locks all doors as soon as the player gets into the room and only unlocks after clearing it.
Clearing a room resets the cowered status, and leaving rooms with unaware enemies has no effect one way or the other.

Got my dropdown box working. I was surprised that the default dropdown box in Unity was lacking: the choice box only used a fade in/out animation but I wanted to use a swiping in/out motion instead, and adding some inner padding in the choices made the whole box's height shorter.

So I took the source code for dropdown boxes from Unity's Bitbucket and used it to make a better dropdown box widget.

I don't want to use a Backend as a Service asset like PlayFab or Gamesparks or anything like that because they seem to revolve a lot more around just being able to buy in app purchases and not as useful for saving a lot of data.

I'm working on a silly idea right now. I'm emulating Dofus, faking a large open world for a mobile persistent ORPG by splitting it into single screens. Exiting the screen loads you into a different room in Photon, so I can separate the load up as much as possible for mobile devices, where all I have to really save are changes to the area if no one is in the room.

It's going pretty well so far, but I'm importing my offline tactics battle system to it and I'm tired of rewriting some PHP everytime I want to try something new with how I'm handling player information.
