Murican Midsize Showdown

2017 Fusion VS 2017 Malibu

Which is better, Veeky Forums?

Fusion because Ford

...

doesnt ford have a 1.5 star reliability rating?

...

...

better than gm, who can't even make an engine that lasts more than 6 ( S I X ) miles
plus they have actually won lemans

No, but the malibu has a 1.5l in a fucking midsize sedan

...

absolute cuck cars that symbolize a life of total mediocrity

A 2013 fusion goes for 8k on Craigslist lol, I'm sure that's the case for the Malibu too. They both depreciate hard.

They're both angry fwd jelly beans so who cares?

That's because the base model is shit. Its stripped bare and has a dogshit 1.5L.

Find me an SEL/titanium for 8k and I'll buy it right now.

>1 engine

That fucking lower trunk gap

>implying the 1.6L in the Fusion is any better

The Fusion can be had with AWD.

I really don't like GM interiors.

My dad has a '16 fusion as his work car. He's got the hybrid version. It's pretty comfortable inside. Very very quiet and rides pretty well. The engine is nothing to brag about but works well and gets good mileage.

Ford can't design interior at all

I never liked the Malibus on the Epsilon platform for some reason.

Meh. It's a toss up.
If you want performance from a mid-size American sedan, get the Fusion Sport.
Otherwise, I think the Malibu is better, if barely.

Superficially I like that the Fusion Sport is a bit of a sleeper, but since I wouldn't ever buy a Fusion to have a fast car, I'd go with the Malibu since I just generally like GMs exterior styling a bit better.
