SoCal rider here... next year i'll be going to fairbanks, alaska for graduate school and id still like to, weather permitting, get some ride time while im up there but i don't think my current bike is fit for the drive up there or the conditions. could any friends that live in some of the colder states recommend me some bikes to look for... atm im leaning more towards a DR650
