Apparently its some age old bug of PCS merging and consuming it but still adding the stats. Mod creator told me that there is a temporary fix mod that gives a option to remove merged pcs but the option doesn't show for me.

Lump in the 1.3 unreleased listed something about the next update fixing that but whats funny is I never get this bug unless I use Shadowops LW class pack.

It's already been quoted for being a massive fucking mess; let's also look at the fact that it throws a dozen plus systems on top of everything and refuses to explain shit.

I honestly don't why people just ditch it and make their own D.I.Y. Long War using workshop mods, there are plenty enough out there to achieve that.

Next update for GW might be delayed a bit. Maluco and Robojumper got wet at the idea of a community highlander, similar to the unofficial patches for Skyrim, in which they'd fix a few fundamental bugs with X2 and open a door for modders to mod the game more extensively

How do medic overwatch builds compare to infantry overwatch builds? Does rapid reaction unload all overwatches on a single unit potentially making the single target damage slightly higher than infantry with their dmg perks?

EXALT do get pulse lasers down the road among other upgrades so it will get more and more difficult to fight them and to ultimately destroy their HQ. Not to mention that if you miss or forget to scan for them they will hit you hard so it's better to just get rid of them.

Their HQ also gives some decent rewards so there's that too.

It may not look like in the model but it is considered a pulse laser. Keep in mind that you will still find EXALT pods from time to time in 'normal' missions even after you got rid of their HQ. So you can still check for yourself how much they can scale down the line.

When should I be liberating my first region in LW2 I have 8 regions contacted but still can't get the liberation chain to move forward for any of them

As soon as possible. If you have enough guys on intel and scan with the avenger parked in the target region you can liberate within the first two months.

I think the mission chain goes as follows:
>any mission where you can "Find a lead"
>Liberation: Destroy relay
>Liberation: Rescue defector
>Network tower
>Regional HQ

It's possible, but it will be very difficult. If you decide to go for it, make sure you bring lots of shotguns (for lids and outsiders mostly, but gives good range bonuses) and flashbangs. Clearing the ship all the way up to the bridge is not too hard if you take it slow, the hardest part is clearing the bridge of 6 (SIX!) outsiders.

If you're pretty new to LW, you should skip it.

Its been a while since I played xcom ew long wars. I am pretty sure they have around 32 ayys lmao with 4 outsiders. I truly the game scales with the player.
