With the exception of the Miata, RWD cars are too fucking big. Where are all the RWD subcompact hatches?

Rusted out and crushed because they stopped doing that in 1989

BMW 1-series

>Where are all the RWD subcompact hatches?
RWD isn't viable for econohatches for a variety of reasons:
>drivetrain losses
>reduced cabin space
>more effort to assemble

Basically RWD interferes with everything an econobox needs to do and adds nothing for most people.

ND Miata+GT86 is probably about as small as RWD cars can reasonably made nowadays.

Physical size wise, not weight.

>tfw don't get these in the US
>tfw the next one is going to be FWD anyways

JUST

...

Why? Crash safety standards?

>Where are all the RWD subcompact hatches?

MB SLC/CLC

those are great RWD subcompacts.

Smart Fortwo is RR

Holy fuck you're right. I can't believe they actually went from fwd for the first two gens to rwd for the current. And made it shorter than the second gen while they were at it.

If they offered a peppy tarbo of this in the states I'd be all over it.

Too bad the traction control is REALLY REALLY conservative and can't be fully disabled, even when you start pulling fuses.

Why the fuck would they do that :(

Because it's based on the smart car platform and trying to have fun with that thing is calling death over for a drink.

>M Logo
>0 of these cars are M-cars.....

I'm seriously hoping for a boosted to hell RS version, with traction control that can be completely turned off.

>BMW 1-series
>subcompact
kek

No, RWD just makes the car too long, and FWD is good enough for 90% of shitbox duties.

>No, RWD just makes the car too long
lol @ u

>BMW 3 Series
>too fucking big
Cretin.

>front wheel drive setup in back of car
>comparable to standard rear-wheel drive

RR is good for compact and roomy
MR is good for compact but not roomy, but superior performance

However, deadly handling characteristics

Wrong.

brz

Literally git gud, America.

We are good. Don't forget where hotrodding came from, and it wasn't the ashes of Europe. Thick-peckered manly Yanks needed some fun after saving the world for Jesus.

You mean saving the world for political correctness and multiculturalism.

Yeah. How's that multiculturalism going for you? What... is this the 3rd time your sister got raped this week?

s-fr and zzw30

But death is so fun to hang out with.

It's funny because the rape rate is three times higher in the US, yet you insist that Europe is being ruined.

>trying to reason with a teenage poltard
save your breath

>front wheel drive setup in back of car
makes this

>b-b-but you have it even worse!!

We're kind of stuck with the niggers at this point. At least you guys had a choice.

I didn't know this i fucking hate new twingo now

Not as much as a Smart Fortwo though.

>snap oversteer
