shes got a miss when sitting at stop lights in drive and always smells rich as fuck(but normally no smoke), ive also noticed that if it sits for a week or so when i start it , its smells hard of gas and the exhaust smokes hard for about 20 seconds before going clear. pretty sure the exhaust was greyish black indicating over fueling.

Fuel pressure regulators like to rupture their diaphragms and allow raw fuel to be sucked into the engine through the vacuum hose. Frequently just pulling the vacuum hose off makes it obvious with raw fuel being present but occasionally you have to pull a vacuum with a hand pump and catch cup on the regulator with the vehicle running to confirm the failure.

Next most common for that was MAP sensors being out of range. Their signal return is a frequency (104-160Hz) and the failure specs so broad that the computers almost never set codes for them which makes them difficult to diagnose.

ive redone alot of the vac hoses on her and none of them had any fuel in them. i was thinking one of the injectors had gone bad but i haven't got around to tinkering with it yet.

ill look into the map sensor though. since the truck isnt setting any codes. If thats not it im starting to assume the ecu is going out, considering ive had it do some weird shit when it gets below zero, like flashing cel codes while driving
