I didn't say get rid of the healing on his W, just give it the bonus resistances from the old one too. Maybe make it steal the resistances over time from enemies hit by it. Maybe bestow a small shield to the ally champ he casts it on.

His problem is the amount of bugs he has. If they fixed those he wouldn't be a bad champion.
