Why is theory crafting so fun?

It makes threshold jewels a viable choice instead of having occasionally to spend up to 3 points just to get enough stats in radius AND already sacrificing a jewel socket to it which is the biggest damage bonus for most builds.

Still fucking retarded they made the jewels mandatory for the skills that have them. I mean, if you make it not a choice then why the fuck not just include those features in the skills themselves?

Theory crafting is the best part of this game. Having to actually level that shit is what kills my interest in making a million builds a league.

So got my caster character into maps and received a rude awakening. Spell damage is super duper gem level dependant.

The bow character i played before post drillneck nerf has like 33k dps against bosses with crap grear. With fully leveled gems that goes up to 39k.

My caster on the other hand with level 20 gems would do 42k against bosses (and has much better defense). However for now my gems are level 16 so my dps is a whooping 16k. Maybe 17k with a golem. It's really painful my clears are fine actually (for now) but boss kills are really painful.

Too much theory crafting can make you miss that for your build level 16 gems do a third of what level 20 gems do ;_;
