We finally did manage to beat it, but my god, that was painful.

Stoneskin is nowhere near required even in endgame content.

stoneskin is the single best "heal" you can use on estinien, he has like 40-50k HP

No, but it makes it a lot easier for shitty healers to keep Estinien alive.

In that particular fight, percentage based heals and shields on Estinien are really good because of his high HP. For example, it takes a lot of normal cures/physicks to get him up even a few percent, but Benediction will always take him to full, no matter what.

Which once again is a non issue. I have never had to heal him during the first phase, and during add phase he will survive just fine with like 1 regen on him if the tank does his job.

Then an Adlo would do fine for that phase. Or the fairy since nobody else is taking damage. I dont see how stoneskin should have any part in this. A SCH can pretty much AFK the second half of the fight.

Lustrate even in cleric stance is probably enough to heal Estinien

an adlo at that level is 2k HP between the healing and shield, maybe 5.4k if it crits, stoneskin is a guaranteed 4k and costs less MP. and the entire point of that dude's story was that the scholar was a shitter who let estinien die, and, additionally, did not even have the crutch that stoneskin is.

like it's cool that you can whip your dick around but that doesn't change the fact that stoneskin is one of the most efficient "heals" on that fight. please continue theory crafting about how you did the fight with two blind dead midgets replacing both of your DPS, and nidhogg's eyes, though.

Oh yeah, and the SMN at one point was musing whether they should start using Ruin 3, but it was such a mana drain...

Im not trying to brag about a dungeon fight my man. I am just wondering why the guy was complaining about a lack of stoneskin in the first place. If the guy was so retarded he couldnt keep Estinian alive in the first place, Stoneskin would not have made the difference.
