I like that the Q and the W are enhanced versions of his shield and gust moves but the other 2 skills are bland as fuck, especially the ult. It doesn't utilize his gargoyle theme at all like the old ult did and it's basically another prime example of powercreep since it's a superior global Malphite ult.

If anything I think we should take this as a sign that Riot's definitely running out of ideas.

Which is a shame since reworked Warwick's skillset was so fucking good while retaining & improving the identity of the old skillset quite well.

Like 90% of Warwick players were happy with the rework, and it makes sense, too. Warwick is literally the same champ, but modernised. Galio is entirely different, same with Yorick.

all of the other major reworks of old champions have been great (although i still miss old sion) and have clearly shared similar identities/playstyles of the old kit. Galio update is completely removed from the old kit and shares zero similarities in terms of visuals, voice, abilities, theme, etc.

not saying he wont be good or that he wont be fun. he is just drastically different than the old version and it feels like we are losing galio and getting some new and completely unrelated champion.

They could've avoided the powercreep issue by coming up with an enhanced version of his old ult, but they didn't. That's the problem. And his old ult was very unique and played tribute to his gargoyle theme, which makes it even worse.
