I've only done 37 hardmode kills, but It's largely the same. Just hide in the corner and wait for him to die. The biggest change is that you cant just afk with soulsplit, you need to pray and will have to eat food instead. Throwing in Debilitate will help a lot.

I usually use either the NW or NE corner, but it doesn't really matter. You're hiding from his melee attack just like in normal mode, but also from his whirlwind special attack. Once you're in the corner, don't move. He'll only use his melee attack if you're not attacking him.

Even with cruise control, you have to watch the road. But if you're not retarded, then yes you should be safe in a mass.

It's not about the cost, it's about the rarity. Specifically scavenging 3. It took me a little over 700 tries to finally get scavenging 3. I'd rather just perk one set of hybrid gear with it than I would go another potentially 2k+ attempts to get 2 more.

To add, i do have most t70 power armour. But most of the pieces are "lucky" items i got from daily keys. So i can't augment them at all

Scavenging 3 is pretty trash unless you're afking 200ms at abyss, and even then it won't actually save you much money or time. Better to go full dps perks on slayer armor in my opinion.

There aren't any good perks to put on the weapons in lieu of Scavenging until you can afford the expensive as fuck Aftershock 3 and less expensive but still pricey and higher level Precise 5. Literally no reason not to have scavenging on every weapon until you hit 74 invention.

I've already had 1 noxious proc while i was capping reputation at gwd2. Way ahead of the average rate but still halfway to a free biting 3.

Scavenging on armor, never on weapon. And if you think aftershock and precise are bad, you're in for a shock with scavenging. 2 is super easy to get, but 3 takes ages longer and is far more costly than both of those combined.

It's like you didn't read a single thing I posted. Prior to getting access to AS3 and P5, there are no worthwhile perks to put on weapons, so you might as well just use scavenging.

If you don't get this within 10-15 tries just scavenging 2. The difference in proc rate is not worth the difference in price.
