first for honda a best, THE best

Since I got my sprocket changed my speedo is wrong. The faster I go the more it off.

>remove speedo altogether
>plausible deniability everything I get a speeding ticket

ye

Is the Cam Chain Tensioner on the Honda CB600 F Hornet the same through 1998-2006 or did it change in 2004?

Thinking about ordering a manual tensioner, but can't figure out if I can get one that they sell for 2004-2006 models for cheaper than one they sell for 1998-2006 models. Also, most look the same as for CBR's but with different prices. It seems like a straight forward deal, but I just wanna be sure.

Thanks.

what do you guys think of the versys? There is always one in the motorcycle lot outside my building, this guy is the first to arrive and the last to leave but I've never seen him... what kind of people ride these?

Ugly as fuck like all the other adventure bikes. Probably has never been offroad.

50+, fat and balding.

Why the fuck would anyone use a 600 over a litre bike?

>I don't get why people don't like what I like

why the fuck would anyone use a liter bike over a 600

cheaper

liter bikes have no advantage except on the track

>initial purchase price
>insurance price
>operation cost
Not saying it's a poorfag thing, but if you're under a certain age in most countries, the insurance will rape you in conjunction with the fact that income is usually lower for younger people. Owning a bike and a car is a serious financial decision for most people under 24 simply because the cards are stacked against you - for me it was either selling my car and buying a liter, or buying a 600 and keeping my car. Winter is long and painful here.

Handle better, cost less, you don't need the liter power on the street.

I have never ridden either.

Liter bike fags BTFO!!!!

600s for life!

They don't make a liter Daytona.

They should

don't have a car, mostly commute with my bike and there are no roads in my city that lets you go faster than 50mph

besides the obvious, cost, but thats offset by buying second hand tho.

I'd fucking buy it, although it looks like they may be moving away from the Daytona to focus on the hipster shit and standards. Which is a damn shame because the Daytona is so much better than the i4 600s.

If only it was Japanase

Ybr grill pls respond

How many miles is too many on a used DRZ?

>yammie would actually kill himself on it
do it

But then it would be worse?

well duh, the sensor is at your front sprocket.

>implying he won't kill himself on whatever piece of scrap he can still afford after this crash

riiiiiiight

riddle me this fuckers

You are riding in very cold weather. The road around you looks wet, and you can't hear any noise from the road. What should you do?

A. Keep revving the engine so you can hear it.
B. There is no problem; continue riding as usual.
C. Change into a lower gear.
D. Slow down and ride in a high gear.

and explain your reasoning

>and you can't hear any noise from the road
What does that mean? Did you mean engine?

Why aren't supercharged bikes normally a thing?

Condition is far more important than miles. The bikes generally go at least 40K miles even if they're beat to shit

not a fucking clue m8
that's all it says

wot m8?

because you need very special light super-fast spinning turbos for it to make sense.

It's D, pretty sure that shitty written question means there is like snow/ice or something slippery on the road muffling tyre noise.

The recommended thing by normie faggots at schools is slowing down and riding low rpm so thats my answer.

What? Is this supposed to be a question about potential ice on the road or something? I ride with earplugs in so I'm not hearing the tyres/road noise anyway

this is true, why do adventure bikes all have such an ugly jagged look

correct
fucking dumb question

D obviously

is it theory test stuff?

E.
Welcometothebrokenlow
Welcometothefamousdiscolive

yes
this is apparently an official DVLA question

Anyone going to MotoGP Austin this weekend?

...

Fuck yes. I knew it.

I became one with the driving theory tests mentality.

its very easy, I got 49/50 on mine, just buy the latest edition book, read through it all and test yourself on every question.

I'm just doing mock tests and reading up on the questions I get wrong

I'll be disappointed if I don't get full marks
the hazard perception can go fuck itself though

Who /pillionon125/ here?

>bike is wobbly as fuck when taking off or braking to stop
>have to nearly redline the engine when hill starting
>requires a shit ton of concentration to keep the bike steady because of the super skinny tyres

It's actually fun as fuck.

it'll be fun when I get my licence giving my brother backies to college
two of us, 160kg on a little yammy SR

Never had a pillion and I don't plan on having one.

Only i fuckt ur boipucci trolly

its great if your passenger is good. Sharing the experience of riding with another is great. I took my older brother and he loved it, even if we were just pootling around 30mph

Im pretty sure if a faggot is pressing his dick on some other faggots ass hes going to enjoy it

yeah a second person pushing your nuts into the gastank if you emergency brake is so gr8, now try to have two pillions, so your gf will be sandwiched between you and her friend if you have to brake hard.

Manlets can't reach the ground with both feet on a liter.

Anyone know any good GoPro alternatives?

Are back protectors really that important in a crash?

realising no one gives a fuck about your shit opinions or watching your boring ass 5 minuet commute.

>tfw tip-toeing 600s
I'm not even that short I swear

forreal, tho
would you a vultus based on the VFR1200 or CRF1000L drivetrain?

It's actually more for when I get into an accident I have proof it wasn't my fault.

I have an old SJ4000 and it's fine.

Lmao

newyork.craigslist.org/que/mcy/6091739533.html

Should I snag it? This is the exact color I wanted and the price is perfectly in my range.

Thanks I'll check it out.

Is the new ninja 650 cucked because of yuropoor regulations?

>Queens
Bring a gun.

Found this and figured it might be a fun thing to have and mess around with this summer. Thought it was a good deal at first but began kind of thinking this might be overpriced quite a bit, even given it's condition and mileage. I would think an old as hell, yet in great condition, bike like this would be around $1500, but this guy says he's taking no offers. What do you guys think? Too much?

NYC gun laws are super strict. I used to live in Queens and it was fine for the most part.

>Queens

Can't bring a gun unless you have an NYC carry permit which is like Rocking Horse Shit, rare and hard to find. AND NYC doesn't have reciprocity except for LEO/Federal while on the job. So literally a friend of mine who is Nassau Cop can't carry into the city, but another friend who is a City cop and carry where ever.

insurance
fuel economy
litre bike is overkill for commuting.

my brother was holding tight around my chest too.

But should I get it? Sorry I'm just a shitty noob and the blue book is all over the place

why don't all street bikes have a belt drive or shaft drive?

I'm guessing it means your tires aren't making much noise against the pavement, which could mean ice/greasy (or else you'd hear the "roughness").

So probably slow down and ride in a higher gear. But that's a poorly worded question.. Part of a practice exam or what?

>If riding behind a street car, when and how is it safe to pass?
>A: Never safe to pass.
>B: Pass on right when streetcar is stopped and it is safe to do so
>C: Pass only at areas designated with green markings
>D: pass at any time it is safe to do so.

>never seen a street car in my life
>wasn't in any study material
>pic very related

I had 3 street car questions on my exam. 3. I got a simple question wrong (didn't read it quite right) and of course those 3, had to retake my written test.

Belt has more power loss and shafts are heavy and more expensive to maintain/repair.

How do I fix it? It seems to be an electric sensor.

I'd only say no, because the bike was hit. Don't buy a project for your first bike unless you already have good experience doing repair work in general.

Friendo is wanting spending $800 more on an older bike with more kilometers over one that just needs $30 parts for a simple repair and has a little bit of faded paint on the triple tree.

How do I make him reconsider?

What's wrong with a bike that has been ridden and still is in a better shape?

Mine is at 135k km now, it's in a better shape than it was at 100k km even.

Did craigslist tell you it would only be a $30 part? Is that $30 part a head gasket?

How do you even hear your tire? All I hear is wind, if I wear earplugs all I hear is wind and my engine.

You mean it suddenly was like that?

E. slowly stop you bike at the side of the road and get off. Feel with your shoes/hands how the road is.

Without my earplugs I can hear my tires going over the white strips, but that's about it.

No, I took a close look at both bikes with him and I priced out the parts at an OEM parts dealer. It's the clutch case cover gasket and a small seal for where the clutch linkage goes into said case.

Why did that break?
Why doesn't the current owner fix it?

I'm sorry, but why would you want to buy a bike from someone that clearly isn't interested in maintaining a bike.

Should I buy a supersport now finally after 2 years on low power bikes?
I didn't do my loser drop that was predicted by /dbt/ during my first year so I'm concerned.

I thought it was just cosmetic damage, and that could be fixed later. I thought a project bike was something that actually needed work to actually run?

Has anyone ever swapped a spiple motor into a daytona frame? I would instantly buy that.

>make a comeback

They're still being made and sold though? If anything, sportbikes are dying

>inb4 it's not a standard/UJM if it doesn't have an aero-killing bucket headlight and dated twin shocks

You're portably fine. Get an H2

buy my ninja 500 instead

Kek *probably

Current owner is selling because he's too busy to ride. He hasn't ridden it this season, the leak only happened when we did the startup at the viewing.

The expensive bike is being sold by a used car dealer that's only ever sold 1 other bike.

I don't know, maybe it's just that I don't like seeing him spend unnecessary money since he was already tight for money

Can I just have your shock and linkage?

Mine squeaks like a japanese girl in a porno

>get on bike
>ride
>onii onii onii onii onii
>get off bike
>chaaaaaaaaaan

Kek

Have you tried giving a rational, non-confentational explanation for him? In my experience some people get easily "flustered" and make stupid decisions when they don't understand stuff. If he's bad with money chances are he's one of those people.
Why is he so set on the dealer bike?

Are you in NY?

kek
