Opinions on the VW Beetle?

a cute
girls fucking love them

the new ones are really nice
i'm a dude and i'd drive one as long as i had another car

The few ones I had a chance to test were in pretty bad conditions to be quite honest, so I can't really tell. They seem pretty resistant to time from what I've been able to gather, and the repair/part cost isn't high where I live, but I wouldn't have one.

buggy is superior

all my nostalgia.
My father's former co-worker has a 71 Bug that he takes to old air cooled VW events. I got to ride in it when I was like 7.
I love beetles. Even the new ones, which is odd. I can't stand the Golf, but I love the FWD Beetles.

>brother-in-law drove an imported Euro Super Beetle when I first met him
>it was his dream car
>gets gf
>had to pick gf up from a city 30 miles away every few days
>she complained about lack of AC
>he leases a Focus
>it's less reliable

I was surprised when he told me he got $6k trade-in after the car was appraised. Also, what's the difference in Euro and US spec beetles?

See that bar going across the top behind the seats?
Thats the pussy magnet.

cool little cars if you can fit in one and easy as fuck to work on

>888

>setting points
>adjusting valves every 3k
>no heater
>lug bolts
>washer fluid sprayers run off of the spare tire pressure
>have to convert from 6v to 12v for usable headlights
No thanks

>Also, what's the difference in Euro and US spec beetles?
IIRC, the main difference is bumpers and lights.

Nice geep

vw thing

beetles had a heater
they just ran heat in a way that caused the car to rust.
heat+steel+wet salty water=no heat

Fun to put around town in.

but things look cooler

I understood that reference.

Very reliable. It does have a heater (just bring towels to wipe fog). Low part cost is also a huge plus. Heaping amount of info on how to repair and tune.

the rollover bar?

Corvair is superior
