Nissan GTR

Right on super user!!

100%

I hope you've got a few images to get us going OP

Nismo

Nevermind, no fins on the exhaust so its just the GTR

More, make it hard this time.

Round two.

E92

Correct.
Hard mode, no reverse image search.

Just got it aligned, what do you think?

Mercedes cla250 4matic? I don't know Mercedes well at all, but transverse awd and European were hints

Inline something and rwd? Bad picture.

E46 330ci?

328Ci, very good.

You were close but agreed that was too hard.
It's X6 35i.

Not OP, but take a guess

>dual exhaust

doesn't this decelerate the air?

Honda?

...

6th gen civic sedan/coupe?

Looks just like mine
Plus the exhaust is dead giveaway
Dodge dart

But isnt that a driftshaft tunnel above the exhaust?
The dart isnt rwd

Thats just part of the unibody.
Mine looks the same.

>suggesting hondas
There's clearly diff there
Try harder

You should have as many exhaust pipes as you have cylinder heads.

My car

BMW 5 series?

e36?

Challenger?

Not quite

Nice thread got me strangely aroused.

CTS?

Yes, didn't see the badges were visible when I posted.

IS300?

how do any of you know what car it is based on the undercarriage alone? How do i reach that level of Veeky Forums enlightenment

autism

a lot of anons probably know what the underside of their current car and maybe previous car(s) look like and can determine if the picture is japanses/german/american just by comparison. After that they can see if it's longitudinal/transverse engine, where the differential is, what the exhaust looks like, the general condition and hardware used, and/or what the shape of the car is. Once you have two or three of those characteristics pinned down you can pick a few cars from memory that share them and go from there. If you can get the country of manufacture correct then the search becomes easy

Imagine for a moment that the word "car"-ism exists; in Spanish it would be literally "autism". So yea, makes sense.

>that oil filter and oil cooler next to the cadillac converter

Top heh!!

f-body

GM in a nutshell.
The underside of that nutshell just happen to be a Z06.

This. First thing to look at is whether or not there is a driveshaft, then move on from there.

>doesn't this decelerate the air?
it might lower the volume of air but increase the pressure
how this effects the total cfm I do not know

there is also packaging reasons to use two pipes
one round pipe with the same volume would big to fit under the car
and oval pipes are not exactly standard

but none of that matters here
its a twin turbo v6 that necessitates two manifolds
and back pressure is not such a big deal with turbo when compared to high revving n/a and 2 stroke engines

>tranny in the back
The fight for 50/50 is strong and honorable.

its good for having things so the car can be forced into over or understeer by the driver
rather than doing what it likes how an FF or RR would

probably the turbo but r35 is still a little nose heavy
this might help with some stability and grip up front
>R34
57/43
>R35
55/45
youtube.com/watch?v=yGeOmYFVEcY#t=11m22s

Oh, I wasn't making fun of it, but praising it because 50/50 is the perfect ratio after all.
Sorry if I worded it wrong.

ehh I like 40/60 anyway
just so the car mostly steers its self depending more on throttle

the flip side is very light steering that takes a moment to gain weight
and a rear end that breaks out early and is always at liberty to go a little to far
also it makes applying the brakes a game of nerve

Mine is the opposite.
It's 60/40, but then again, mine is FWD, with too much power for that drivetrain layout.
320/545 ( ~402lbft )

part of the stabity of FF is that it pritty much ignores sudden inputs
makes it much easyer to deal with at low speeds but a little counter intuitive at high speed

the way I deal with it is to late apex
this slowly loads the suspension and front tires for the turn in
and makes the exit as wide and strait as possable allowing for more under steer

other than that reduceing steering lock combined with a little lift off thorttle can help pull the front in
trail brakeing works but can go wrong very quickly when the car wants to pivot around its center of mass
and there is not enough spare power or grip to pull the front out

>late apex
So I wasn't wrong then.
I have a road that I take that I always to super wide and then dive down at the very end when I already lost speed due to engine braking and turning.
Though my car is fitted with stiffer active suspension, it do feel heavy in corners due to how 9-5 Estates behave in general.

yes with FF it pays to keep close attention to how much grip the front tires have
and to drive lazy so the suspension has time to adjust

>9-5 Estate
nice looking car
how is it for comfort ?

Superb comfort, 9-3 not so much, but the 9-5 2002 (2003's model) -2005 seats are the best.
2005+ Gen1 use the 9-3 2003+ gen1 seats which are not as comfortable.

Only thing lacking is seat ventilation for very hot days.

Panels and everything is simple and clean, night panel is the best of any kind that I've seen in practice since most turn everything off or just use dimming only (Volvo S70 and such), The Night panel on the 9-5 activates parts that are needed.
Going below 140KM/h? Everything before 140 is unlit, then lights up as you near the 140 mark.

The newer versions (since GM merge) also use the Corvette gimmick that displays the speed on the window.
youtube.com/watch?v=uaJ9ARZoM7A
Stock it's limited to 260.

This should be easy.

when it comes to neat dash fetures
shift point indicators are a favourite of mine
even if having a tachometer is preferable

>youtube.com/watch?v=uSKrtbSODLA
when the night mode is on how does it warn you of high temperature or low fuel ?

If temp goes slightly too high, but not dangerously high, it lights up.
It also lights up the fuel game if it's nearing empty.
Rev meter lights up if you hit 5k RPM, and as usual CEL and other stuff lights up individually as usual.
TCS is the same.
It also has a dim feature so those few things that are lit can be set to whichever brightness you want.

Here's one that shows the revs.
youtu.be/JapSgi44aag?t=33

The semi-new 9-5 use a mix of 9-3 dash, which isn't that good, hence why even the night panel isn't as great as a pure 9-5
youtube.com/watch?v=76tB0o4mOdM
An idiots way of showing the rev.

RIP SAAB youtube.com/watch?v=LHem0okt7z0
(Though find the new 9-5 too round and thus lack personality on the outside)

...

would be quite something if one of the bulbs broke
he might just assume that the temp is fine

Agree on the bwm looks like e30
But that mustang is 2015+ thats not a solid rear axle.
