The actions Adam and the Replicants have taken are obviously wrong in the context of their stories, and they're still wrong by the end, is the thing. A common string tying the two stories together would be that they both attempt to humanize the monster, without pulling an asinine "they were good all along!' thing at the end.

The first of Silver Eyes' problems is that Scott clearly intends for the children-possessed animatronics to be the sympathetic ones. You find out the reason for their killing, and then it justifies their actions, while Roy and Adam were still bad people. There wasn't an off-switch that made them the good guys, and Doc and Deckard the "evil ones" just because Adam's wife was dismembered in front of him or how Roy's slowly dying. I don't know why I'm trying to compare Blade Runner to fucking Silver Eyes, actually..

I don't think most of the fans really care about morality, though. Most of them are kids, so as long as Bonnie or whoever their favorite is appears in the next game, and there's more lore, they're cool with it.

It's so strange seeing the spooky terminator original Foxy after all the abuse we've put him through, making him a typical drunk pirate or a slutty yiff machine. It's easy to forget he used to just be a broken murderbot.

I remember when I thought Foxy's lower body was actually spare parts for Freddy that he had grafted his dismembered torso onto.

William Afton's probably killed less people than the kids, so he might not be AS bad. Still a dick move but he seems capable of empathy. The direction Scott will go with him is probably going to be more "sympathetic" as far as child killers go.

It's funny too, because Foxy's usually considered the scariest animatronic in the first game from his meta gameplay mechanic, but whenever someone does horror, they don't do it with Foxy. The original cast stopped being used in horror stuff after early 2015, in favor of whatever was new.

I can't help it. Body horror's one of my favorite things. More original robots would be nice too, though. Ballora was great; I'd like a game with more outside-the-box designs like that.

Foxy, like Springtrap is pretty clever because of how he's handled in the first game. You had never seen the animatronics move on camera, and then you see him bolt straight down the hallway, fucking up your expectations. Great payoff of suspense.

I mentioned Springtrap since ANOES comparisons were on the back of everybody's mind since the first game, so actually capitalizing on that and making the villain what's basically Freddy Krueger was a smart choice. I hope Scott doesn't retcon that for the sake of some controversy.

Not everybody literally, because the last movie came out long before a decent chunk of the fanbase was born, but more figuratively. A lot of people with passing knowledge of horror would've associated Freddy's name attached to horror with Krueger. The basic story (child killer gets caught, leaves behind a profound impact on the community) in the first three games can be traced to the first movie, so bringing in the child killer as an undead abomination is poetic.

It wasn't by anyone here, it looked like it was written by a 12 year old girl. There was a lot of funny packed into a few words.
