two options

either choose dwarf/elf/human and then start knocking over statues in temples to become a were creature, then rampage once a month

or become an elephantman and go take on a tower to become a necromancer elephantman. Then if youre feeling really ready go knock over statues till you get cursed with vampirism. Vampire Necromancer Elephantman would be almost unstoppable with the right skills

Enable bronze colossus generation so you can play them in adv mode. Add a few tokens like (CANLEARN) and (CANSPEAK)
You can't play as HFS denizens or some beasts, though. Maybe if you use dfhack to control one of them.
