Fine. Assuming you're dumb enough to start with a 305, throw in a random 350 for $500 and an afternoon, swap out the shitty intake, cam, headers, exhaust and you're down MAYBE 8k, including the cost of the car.

Car seats and boosters don't work very well with 3rd/4th gen back seats because of the way the bottom of the seats are shaped. Not to mention the need to be a contortionist to place and extract your children from back seat in said Camaro.

My dad and I rebuilt one for essentially free. We bought a peice of garbage one for a few hundred bucks, then bought 3 or 4 more for a couple hundred bucks(not at the same time and these ones were complete shit) and we stripped all the usable parts of the really bad ones, recycled the body for the same price we bought the cars for, used all the parts we could, kept some in case we might need them, sold a lot of parts on Craigslist/eBay. Used all that money to pay for a new paint job, reupholstered the seats, and bought an I-ROC 350(ours had a 305)
