If you come from the /v/ thread, I'm the one that recommended it; I can fully clear 95% of content, and I've yet to drop a single dime in the game. Only relevant thing I can't get is a gold reward in one of the daily modes, and that requires having Carnage, a paywall character.

Still, with your starter rewards, you can also get 3 of the 4 paywall characters for free even, though upgrading them will take its time.
