>She explained that her chauffeur was driving her and her boyfriend at ~75 km/h northbound on the highway in Guangzhou when they hit the concrete siderails, the car turned around 180-degrees and was hit front first by a Ford Focus.
>They then tried to open the Falcon Wing doors, but she says that they were both stuck.
>Car is on fire >Bleeding out >Hold on lemme just disassemble my speakers to get to the manual release
Owen Torres
>manual
Ryan Wright
>dismantle You pop it off, it's about as difficult as taking the lid off some tupperware. With new advanced cars you should really read the manual, it's good to know how to actually operate your car.
They're lithium ion batteries. To be fair almost everything rechargable these days uses lithium.
Ian Campbell
Lithium batteries are only volatile when charged. Lithium by itself is harmless, it only becomes a bomb when there's an electrical short and sufficient heat is generated to ignite the battery contents
Discharged batteries are totally harmless.
Nathan Jackson
>batteries scare me >sitting on 13+ gallons of high explosives does not Muricans folks.
James Scott
or just open the door instead of smashing things like an ape?
Gavin Sullivan
Gas leaks and doesnt burst into flames after impact
Kevin Peterson
>batterys are charged >be driving muh electric tesla >get rear ended hard >doors stuck >battery starts to short because of impact >die in a lithium fueled fire
Easton Bennett
Or you could just have a normal mechanical fucking door latch in the first goddamn place because NOT EVERY SINGLE TINY THING IN A CAR HAS TO BE AUTOMATED
Robert Turner
Should have used magnesium
Jonathan Howard
Gasoline isn't an explosive. It's a fuel. Vapors contained in a small area can be explosive, but you can toss a match in a bucket of gasoline and it'll extinguish.
The front doors do. The Falcon doors don't have any handle on them, the switch is on the B pillar, so it can't work like it does on the front door (first half of pull switched, second half manual override). Thus, the emergency pull is behind the speaker grill, right next to the latch. If you don't want an automatic door and/or reading an owners manual is too difficult maybe a Model X isn't for you.
Oliver Lopez
Gasoline is only flammable or explosive if its in a gas form.
Litihium cells, if breached will immediately go up in flames.
Levi Long
Gasoline is explosive in liquid form as well numb nuts...
Henry Ortiz
Yeah, I'm sure that's why he was swerving, a deer...
Evan Cruz
>Asian drivers crashing into things
Owen Stewart
>car purposefully attempts to kill chinks wtf I love tesla now
Aiden Stewart
Is this only exclusive to tesla? Only teslas can survive a (((cliff))) crash
>chink buys shitty american car >gets horribly harmed
Happens all the time.
Jackson Turner
That requires a second explosive to aerosolize the gasoline, once it's dispersed it has a greater surface area and can burn all at once, if you just left it in a bucket and set it on fire the there wouldn't be enough oxygen in the nearby air for it to combust with any great force, it would just burn as it evaporates off.
Wyatt Cox
>goal posting this hard
fuel tanks explode because of pressure. Guess what fuel tanks are designed to do. hold fucking pressure.
guess what happens when you have a lot of heat, pressure and a substance that is volatile.
BOOOM
Austin Roberts
really makes you think...
Camden Wright
>when your car blew up but you gotta take that morning selfie
Jayden Baker
seven >portable communication device >better not use it to communicate after I get it in a car accident Should have left this post in the septic tank
>high speed side impact with a van carrying who knows what lmao
Aiden Garcia
Gasoline does not explode, if you throw a match into a bucket of gasoline nothing would happen. For a gas explosion in a car the gas would have to be contained in some kind of sealed chamber capable of withstanding pressure, where gas vapors could be ignited causing an explosion. Since cars siphon gasoline out of an open trough they are completely safe. Proof: businessinsider.com/there-are-more-gas-powered-car-fires-than-electric-car-fires-2016-8
Parker Moore
>goal posts
I could post a fuel tank by itself and you would go "who knows what's inside "
Get necked nigger
Adrian Garcia
>he thinks gas tanks are open systems Can you fucking not. They are sealed pressured systems... How the fuck can you not know this.
When you heat things, they expand. A sealed system with lots of shit inside that can expand leads to a massive fucking explosion.
Connor Russell
So post a fuel tank exploding by getting lit on fire.
>Get necked Truly the insult of faggots.
Julian Gonzalez
car fuel tank exploding is still less of an explosion than all batteries in a tesla going kaboom
Colton Russell
They can't be sealed, otherwise when you went to the gas station and started filling up the air would be displaced and the gas tank would balloon itself to 3x it's normal size. Checkmate.
Sebastian Hall
>one explosion is bigger than the other Oh look another goal post.
Have you ever gone to fill up a low tank on a car.
WOOOSHHH as pressure is revealed when you remove the cap.
Hunter Hughes
Holy shit that article. >picture is from a movie >There are fewer EV fires because there are fewer EVs >Just think about how much explosions are in the gas tank you guys >muh pinto fires that were blown out of proportion >Remember how racing used to be dangerous and cool? Yeah, stuff caught on fire too! >Cars can catch on fire! >give tesla a chance you guys
Carson Price
It goes both ways. I have opened my tank and it sucked air in.
In fact, if I fill my weed whacker or dingy tanks, which are both plastic and close/seal them during the day they create a vacuum when it gets cooler.
Asher Cruz

Except you would have to get hit so hard you would die on impact for the batteries to explode? The Model S is a tank. It doesn't explode from crashing.

and that's not including the failsafes that the model s already has in place.

What the fuck are all those chink faggots honking at?
Justin Bailey
No its not, theres a reason it needs to be vaporized by a carburetor or injector in order for it to make an explosion in an engine, and even then it has to be specific oxygen/gasoline ratio.
Tl;dr go take a fucking physics class child.
Brayden Thomas
That explains why the woman is totally dead after the tesla hit the guardrail hard enough to catch on fire.
Adrian Hernandez
>only reason she survived the crash is because she drove a tesla ironic. Isn't it? lol

Tesla is fucking garbage and so is any fucking moron that supports it
Do you know what Tesla is valued at? Go ahead, take a guess. Did you guess 51 Billion? Crazy huh? Do you know how much they made last year? Guess. Nothing, they lost money. Now, do you know what Ford is valued at? 45 Billion. Right, 6 billion less than fucking Tesla. Do you know how much Ford profited last year? Over 4 billion
>hurrr but future bro!!!! future will be really really bright!!!! No you complete fucking morons, the tesla hype is now. The stock will crash and the company will burn with it
Daniel Clark
>ford is LITERALLY worth less than tesla
Xavier Ross
>tech company is over-valued How shocking!
Jaxon James
You know what's strange, many savvy, professional investors have invested in Tesla, yet someone fresh out of highschool with no clue about anything finance related posted on an anime imageboard knows better than those people, after casually thinking about it for 1 minute. This isn't the first time I've seen this either. How are so many anonymous posters on the internet so smart that they become experts in other peoples fields? Why isn't the finance world looking at Veeky Forums more closely for tips? It's like they don't want to make money!
Blake Scott
This reminds me of the stages of the 2016 election.
>he won't win the primaries >he won't win this >he won't win that >he won't become president lol, tesla haters are cuckolds. stay btfo and watch elon turn the auto industry around
Andrew Perry
>tesla literally doubling amont of superchargers by the end of this year The arguments against tesla keep dropping like flies. Now you can travel anywhere without worrying about range because there will be superchargers everywhere. i will definitely consider buying a tesla now
>Savvy, professional investors have invested in it therefor its a good idea
How much of a fucking idiot can you be?
Do you also know how many "savvy professional investors" shorted it? Do you even know what that means? Do you know how many "savvy professional investors" invested in JCP in 2007 at an ATH? Do you know how many morons invest in Tesla "because tesla dude!!!"
No, you have not a fucking clue about what you are talking about. Stick to talking about your 07 Civic you fucking dolt
>2004 the stock market wont collapse you guys have been saying that for years!! >2005 The stock market wont collapse you guys have been saying that for years!! >2006 the stocks market wont collapse you guys have been saying that for years!! >2007 .... Know how many bankruptcies and suicides that year? need a refresher? We are in a tech bubble and retards are still too blind to see it.

Do you know how the stock market works?
Its all fucking hype, its how you have bubbles.
He's absolutely right though musk has only a few years to put up a profit or shut up shop.

>Do you know how the stock market works?
I'll ask again, how exactly did you two, who I absolutely guarantee have a net worth of no more than $5k, no education in finance, have never invested in anything other than Magic cards, come to know more than thousands of investing professionals? Was it your training on an anime imageboard full of other knowitalls with nothing to show for their talents?
