Good or Bad

Lay it on me Veeky Forumstists. Want to get this as my first car.

>2016 Charger SXT
>292 HP / 260 TQ
>RWD

>dodge

Why the fuck would you ever get the V6 version?

>first car

Your first new car or your first car ever?

Do yourself a favor and drive a beater for 6 months before you drive a new car.

Also, at least get the 5.7l.

My "own" first car, I've been driving for 5 years
The R/T 5.7 is $37k, this is $22k the srt 392 is $50k and hellcat is $65k

t. toronto fag

The V6 versions of muscle cars are for faggots. If you just want a V6 sedan go buy a V6 Accord or something. Hell it'd probably perform just as good if not better than the V6 Charger.

Hella dope car

Its true tho

Do you want it just for the looks?

Otherwise there's better options for the money.

>V6
Dodge is fun if you get a V8, otherwise skip it OP.

Buy a new or used Chevy SS. Dodge makes objectively shit cars in terms of reliability and performance (sans Hellcat or Demon)

Yeah for the looks, and it'll be my first ever rwd car. I love the size of it, and how it rides, I've never even had a car with more than 200hp, so it's a step up still in power. Plus it'll be for commuting...

But I can't afford the V8 :(

Is it really going to be that bad? I drove them and they seem fun, the V8 is only 70hp more, with a heavier engine...

The Charger has more power and it's a larger cad than those mid size Accords... also this is RWD, one of the few cars that are

Not OP, but for some reason Canada gets cucked out of having the Chevy SS for sale

Buy the V8. American companies don't know how to build any engine smaller.

You a nigger or middle aged?

Brown boy 22

Seems like a nice car sxt for 22k is cheap. Get it in black and keep it clean. 292 HP should be good enough.

Sounds good for 22k
V6 is fine for daily, just dont pretend its racecar. you can get cooled/heated seats in sxt i think. Might want to check packages

Maybe look into a v6 challenger lol.

I thought new Chargers with the 3.6 had AWD?

I find chargers ugly. Why not a challenger ?

dodge gives almost zero fucks about anything less than 8 cylinders

look at maybe a mustang or camaro if you really need a cucked muscle car for muh RWD

Sage thread
Ignore nigger posters

Kind of this. The quality difference is pretty hilarious.

That explains it. Don't forget to leave a bit of budget for some sick chrome 26".

so?

V8 or bust kiddo

i couldn't either, so i went with a v6 GP until my insurance goes down. dont be the homo with a Charger SXT just wait until you can afford dat HEMI.

The V6 is AWD, amigo.

>292hp
>but its really 210hp
>and it weighs 4,000 lbs
>and has the drag coefficient of a pickup truck
>and is geared for fuel economy
You'll lose to my mom's Toyota Sienna but whatever floats your boat amigo

>The V6 version of muscle cars are for faggots

Not OP but is V6 really that bad? I mainly use my car as a daily and I dont plan on taking it out to the track.

I plan on trading in my 2004 Mercedes c320 (215hp) for a Cadillac Ats-V (464hp)

Whats the lowest acceptable hp for Veeky Forums?

V6 engines aren't inherently a bad thing. The issue here is this specific implementation of one. Putting an anemic motor in what is supposed to be a big sporty muscle car is dumb and completely defeats the purpose.

AWD is an option dumbass

V6 is fine for cars that weigh less than 3,500 ibs. Otherwise it's just a meme. Generally around a 1 to 10 hp/weight is good.

I get to drive Chargers frequently (rentals) I think the V6 makes a good DD. You could get a 300 with the V6 which would have a few more options at the same price.

Comfy cars and the racetrack lights look great.

Do not get the fucking V6 lol why is this even a question

>V6 is fine for cars that weigh less than 3,500 ibs

Care to go into detail? Dodge charger that OP posted is roughly around 3900 lbs

What if OP can increase horsepower to 350? Would that make a difference?

The V8 is 375hp

>v8
>370hp

So what's the point of getting a v8 if you can get just as much hp with a v6?

Whats the lowest acceptable hp for Veeky Forums?
Veeky Forums doesn't pay for anything so who cares?

>first car
>modifying a v6 to add 78+ hp

I don't think you even have a car do you

>noise
>vibration
>harshness
>fuel economy
>sound
>reliability
>resale

The V6 accord will rape any NA V6 car for under 50k. Don't underestimate the VTEC.
