Can you do something other than whining you fucking crybaby?

Fuck off you fucking faggot.

Nou

nobody to blame but yourself

How about the boomers in the EU government regulating everything and basically forcing car makers in Europe to make everything look the same?

theyre not cars have always looked similar

its your fault for not having the money you want tho

Don't you realize that in Europe cars are MAGNITUDES more expensive than in America? Not only to buy, but also to drive. More taxes, much much higher gas prices, and the large cities are banning old cars (no diesels from before 2001, no petrols from before 1991).

OP is american

doesnt matter if you want something you just work for it and you get it

I'm doing just that! It's just a sad thought that in the not-so distant future all of this driving fun will be ruled out by our governments.

the roads arent for fun driving
take it to a track
if that gets taken away then you have bigger things to worry about

like how horses are banned hey

There's always that luckily.

Who cares, I bet you're not even old enough to drive

i bet you're a virgin also

That's just your country.

I didn't realise when a new car comes out all the previous models are removed off the face of the earth

and then they want you to take public transport
which is shit compared to what you pay for it in your local tax

>current year +1
>not becoming a wizard

Normies stay go

Cars themselves are just as cheap as anywhere. If you can't afford the gas, don't drive.

>Cars themselves are just as cheap as anywhere
120k Mustang GT disagrees.

>complains about new cars
>wants to drive a new car
>complains about his country
>is allowed to move and work freely in the EU
Just fucking off yourself, m8.

>time you'll be able to afford a car they will all be ugly, shapeless self driving blobs
Solution is to buy used cars from the 90s and early 2000s i guess?
I've given up on looking forward to new cars due to how bloated they look
>Europe cars are MAGNITUDES more expensive than in America
Expense is all relative in respect to brands and continents. Your BMWs and Mercedes are cheap compared to mustangs and challengers while it is vice versa in the USA
However I will admit your "save the environment" carbon tax does screw you guys over for higher performance cars
For used cars, it seems like (some parts) of europe have much cheaper used cars compared to the US

>Europoor

Dont worry user, they will never become shapeless self driving blobs.

Muhammad will make science haram and you can get a horse for the price of a used GeoMetro!

>all of Europe is one country

Fuck off

The problem is nobody buys new fun cars, so they never make it to the used market because they're not there in the first place.

>says the amerinigger

I live in a fairly small town in Scotland and I regularly see 3 different Mustang GTs kicking about, few GTRs, tons of Subies, couple 86s.

And where I live I hardly ever see anything interesting and there's not a single street without one of these little shits parked on the side.
There's massive variations even within Europe.

What are you, 12 ?
>A 2011 Golf which used to cost 25000 euros now costs roughly 7000 euros.
>And a 2011 Golf is a pretty modern car, their warranties just expired on most of them ( this is not so great tho )
>I dunno where you are from but I'm a slav so my earnings are barrel-bottom. If you earn a pigly 600 euros/month you can afford one of these things ( leased tho ).
>But maybe you don't want to spend 15% of your monthly income on a car leasing. Maybe you want something abit cheaper.
>You can buy a Golf 5 which is 3500-6000 euros ( depending on your standards ). At 600 euros/month this is potatoes.
>Don't get me started on the western people with 1000+ euros salaries.
Maybe 600 euros is abit much to earn at 20 years old if you're not some gifted programmer, but by age 25-27 you should be able to get to this level of wages.

Or if you are a complete cheapfag go for a Golf 4 which is better than the 5 and the 6 and it costs just 2000-2500 euros.

idgaf about bait

Plenty of these kicking about here too, as well as Crossovers and normal sedans. Been seeing more pickups recently for some reason.

Pickups over here can fit a regular sized pallet in the bed, so they can be registered as work vehicles.
Work vehicles avoid the (weight- and fuel type-based) road taxes, so you're free to run an LPG setup and pay half of what you normally would for fuel.

LPG in passenger cars is pretty much dead because people were just converting everything to LPG, dodging the majority of fuel taxes, so they doubled the monthly road taxes on LPG-powered passenger cars instead.

The Dutchcukc government wants you to drive a truck, just fucking do it already.

I probably would if I had my own company and hauled shit on a semi-regular basis.

>eurocucks

Why did you greentext that? Wut

Just do it anyway. I don't know what kinda Mercedes he drove beforehand, but a coworker traded his for an absolutely silly Ram SRT10 shortly before I joined the company and he says it's considerably cheaper to run than the Merc thanks to LPG and truck registration. Germany btw.

>compensating ameriniggers

what's the point in a truck if you're not hauling shit

>you need to be a ceo to afford a picuptruck in euroland

>concept of having an own business is this alien to an americuck corporate slave

Might just be that truck registrations are tied to commercial entities.

To look like you need to haul shit 99% and if you feel like it, perhaps you will haul shit the other 1% of the time. Kind like guns, better to have it and not need it then to need it than not have it and they are just plan fun in the mean time.

The SRT10 is such a hilariously excessive thing. Can't help but love it.

Also the shop across from where I work has an older Chebby pickup and a '70s El Camino rolling around, those are pretty fucking cool. They also got a 2nd gen Camaro shell in today, curious to see what they're planning with that.

are you having mental issues newfriend ?
A 2.2L diesel Ford Ranger is actually pretty cheap to run, with fairly low fuel consumption ( 30 mpg city - tried by me ) , has chunky leafsprings, lower taxes because pick-up and the reliability is not THAT bad compared to regular cars.
And then there's the Isuzu D-Max which is even cheaper to buy and run but less comfortable.

>tfw a new impreza costs €90K in my country

>VW golf

life is too short to drive boring cars

>4door

KYS

>sperging out over a fucking promo pic

Yes, but - unlike robberies - home renovations can be planned, and a utility trailer or pickup truck or van can be rented for the one weekend you need it in a year for a fraction of the costs of daily driving a pickup truck. Or did you buy a digger for the one time you had to dig a hole?

Lmao what a cuck country. Luxury tax?

A billion promo picks and you pick a car. Floridian slip I would say.

Lmao, where the fuck is that?
A new STI is cheaper than that in Bongland.

>going to pay extra money everytime I need a tailor because I cant haul a ton of bricks in my BMW.

This is why your taxes are crazy. At least we have a corrupt government we can blame.

It's a tax for cars which is determined by things such as co2 emission, hence why the impreza is so expensive

>I cant haul a ton of bricks in my BMW.

Do you not know what a trailer is?

>Luxury tax?
Probably muh CO2 emissions.

I'm not the tripfag whose promo pic you sperged out over though. And for some reson a ton of promo pics are of the 4-door, whereas most actual used car ads are for the 2-door.

the Netherlands

FIFTY THOUSAND EUROBUCKS FOR A FUCKING BRZ

>If you earn a pigly 600 euros/month you can afford one of these things ( leased tho ).

If you earn 600eu/month you can afford a 90's shitbox, if you are lucky.
Maybe if you live in a commieblock in eastern europe with you mother 600eu/month is a livable wage, but everywhere else in Europe that's poverty tier.

Jesus

The Netherlands is horrible for cars.
The WRX STI is 38k in my country.

First of all a BMW is a more comfortable and better performing daily driver than your crummy pickup trucks.

Secondly you can just as well buy a trailer for little money if you think that renting is retarded and communistic, and haul more weight than you can in a pickup bed, and in a more accessible manner.

yeah
i'll probably end up driving a shitty used BMW or a 17 year old impreza

>affordable, green(ish) fuel takes off
>government taxes the shit out of it

Really makes you think

Will you be able to enter city centres?

I doubt that. Trucks are far more comfortable than cars. You sit in a truck, you lay like a bitch in a car.

They didn't tax the fuel itself, they raised taxes on cars that use it.
It's a shameless fucking cash grab for sure.

>90,000 euro for a shitbox with a spoiler and 15 year old engine
>Be Dutch
>Go bald at age 7
>sweat while at gymnasium
>country floods

>They didn't tax the fuel itself, they raised taxes on cars that use it.

The effect is the same.
Personally I can't stand the ridicolous amount of taxes on cars, it's like taxing freedom itself.

I've never been in a utility vehicle that has been more comfortable than a city bus. The seats are hard, the ride is bouncy and swaying, the noise insulation is complete fucking garbage and your ears are ringing at 60 mph already. And putting leather seats and fake wood into utility vehicles doesn't turn them into luxury vehicles. And slapping gigantic tires on your trucks only makes the terrible noise even worse. They're horrid in every conceivable way compared to an actual upscale car.

yes, most gasoline cars built after 1990 are allowed in city centers.
Most cities don't have any rules, but if they have emission rules, you can just check online by typing in the numberplate. just checked on a '98 and '01 impreza and they are allowed.

Unlike the US it doesn't, and unlike the US we don't have to guard our belongings with guns like it's a post-apocalyptic wasteland if it does.

the government want us all to drive a prius or tesla
a few years ago you didn't even have to pay tax if you drove a hybrid

Wew all the dutch I see blocking the left lane on muh autobahn must be oligarchs. Why are the dutch so rich?

Yeah, in Europe you only get our leavings. Perhaps when you all man up and stock being cucks you will have a market for them, then perhaps you will get something decent.

we ain't
>tfw shitty cuck country
>tfw 52% income tax
>tfw cars are expensive as fuck

Whenever I see Dutchies on the Autobahn they're in the process of torturing their city cars to 150 kph because they get to drive fast for a change. All the big expensive executive car foreigners are actually Danes and Swedes, which is weird because at least in Denmark cars there are even more expensive.

Then how do these people afford 3 litre diesels?? Rich country full of oligarchs

Decent what? Decent for what?

Also stop spreading inaccuracies, you self loathing moron piece of shit. 52% is the top tax bracket, and even there not all your income is taxed 52%, only the income actually in that bracket is.

weed money lmao

wees boos

>That feel when getting to go full man spread in your Truck.
>Euros will always have to tuck their balls between their legs.

Ohhh shieeet. Blaze it #420

3edgy5me

ye, Eastern Europe. Most salaries are at 350 euros tho, so 600 is pretty high. A programmer barely makes 2.000 euros/month and a specialised medic with 10 years experience in the field has ~800ish euros salary.

>tfw college friends who now flip burgers part time in Copenhagen earn more than me and my doctor friend combined.

it doesn't what, van maarten?

The country. It doesn't flood. Maybe read the posts others are referencing next time, Jayden.

>all cars will soon look like ugly bars of soap and i will no longer be able to drive my own

is the Veeky Forums equivalent of

>the USA government is going to go door to door and seize all the firearms

Polish?

Romanian, right next to the border with Moldavia Republic ( 22km ) and Ukraine ( 134 km ) from where I'm typing this.

out of curiosity: how is switzerland like for owning cars? it's not an EU country smack in the middle of the EU.

Pro tip: there are EU countries with no car taxes and lax inspection.

First of all Switzerland car ownership is expensive, but the country is wealthy so it evens each other out. However what really sucks about Switzerland is speeding penalties. Fines calculated from income, and if you go fast enough they can actually repo your car.

Secondly motor legislation is nowhere near homogenous and restrictive in the EU. Each country still has its own vehicle codes for inspections, each country can still set its own requirements for production vehicles. The EU only offers guidelines for motor legislation to make vehicle distribution and trade easier across the union. However - unlike the US where new cars absolutely NEED to have twenty airbags and a backup cameras - it's still legal to produce stuff like this, and this thing has basically been unchanged for 50 years.

Sure, Americans can privately build Caterham knockoff kit cars, but it's a completely different thing from production cars. Apples and oranges.

I see, thanks for the informative post user. I found this on fines in Switzerland though: ch.ch/en/driving-over-speed-limit/

According to this the fines are not calculated from income. Then again I don't know what the consequences of getting a summon are.

I was only telling it from memory, I'm not actually Swiss. Maybe the fines are not calculated from income and simply high. The repo thing is definitely true though. The same violation that costs 240 CHF or 220€ in Switzerland costs 30€ in Germany. And we don't earn seven times less than them.

Oh ok. I didn't expect the fines in Germany to be that much lower though, must be nice for you guys.

>and the large cities are banning old cars (no diesels from before 2001, no petrols from before 1991)

Burgerclapper here, is that actually a thing in the EU?

I think some countries do this to some extent.

Some cities have even installed license plate scanners, so if you drive a car that's not allowed in there anyway you get a huge fine sent straight to your door.

Liar, you are just an underage cunt

I think Milan does something of that sort.
