Buddy's coupe just got some EK side skirts today. Ready to see this thing fly across the Twinspan.
Jose Carter
>tfw no k swap in my eg
What did he do to make it fit?
Ayden Hughes
Not sure. I'll ask him next time I see him. Though EGs and EKs are fairly similar so I bet he didn't have to do much.

>live in the frozen north >Accord no longer being sold >population cucked into 2.2 diesels or R20 gasoline engines for recent generations >almost all gasoline Accords are executive tourer models with the automatic gearbox >K24 only available in the anemic Honda Element variety or the S2000 for the thoroughbred
Fuck. Guess I'm settling for a 7th gen with the 155hp K20A6
Bentley Ward
Tell me about these K24s power? torque? price? worth doing?
Nathan Foster
All i know is contrary to the belief of people on honda forums, no k swapping an old 6/7thgen civic isn't cheaper than modifications. Fully built k engines with transmission i've only seen go from 800$ to 1600$. While there are custom parts the original owner put in the engine and tranny in my d17a2 the parts i know are well below 1k. What you need to consider with k engines are torque spec, weight, mounts, and aftermarket. Only time its worth it, with hype prices most of them have, is if your engine is shit or ded then pull from a ded car with a k engine or get lucky on eBay and Craigslist. Thats just my experience knowing a lot of people that engine swap.
Jose Parker
No didn't think so. Saying that I have spend £800 on the engine and ECU of a b16a and should hope to get 180hp Stick another £250 in cams in, you get to over 200hp. Well shall see tomorrow, my brum brums in then and I should have it back by midday.
Caleb Flores
K's are disappointing to look at on ebay cause they are way over priced for even bad condition full builds. My d17a2 only makes in the 130 hp range though thing seems to have stock setup for how lean it burns which it might not need. The stage one cam gives most the power in my car i think. Wish it had more low end torque.
nice! been thinking i need to change mine as well, where did you get the juice?
Alexander Phillips
I had an extra bottle from last year and my buddy had two. If he didn't have any I'd have gotten them from the dealer. It smoothed things up a bit though it was still smooth before the change.
Hudson Lewis
i want to fug her

I like it better too. But buying a 300 dollar wheel for 100 shipped was a good deal. also its

How do I fix this scuff and scratch on my Honda accord?
Benjamin Mitchell
is the civic type r going to be in high demand?
will it push up the price? how many are they going to make?
David Allen
Looks too deep to buff. That'll need some respray
Yes, yes Idk no more than 10k
Xavier Nguyen
Who the fuck wants it to be 90 all the time? Are you a lizard?
Wyatt Jenkins
I couldn't handle it being in the 90's all the time. 80's is bad enough. Though it was humid as fuck today. like 90%.
Isaiah Moore
yeah and >when you feel your cold engine struggle as it breathes in hot air while the ac is blasting no thanks.
Caleb Baker
>tfw can feel the power loss every time the compressor kicks in >gotta keep it on or else I'll drown in my own sweat
This summer is gonna be brutal. Hope my AC stays working.

Its like you dont even want to be part of the ruling class.
Got an answer for that 1.5k civic, sounds pretty interesting what do

Jayden Thompson
Im buying a 90 civic hatch in the next week. Any problems i should look out for?
Ryder Carter
I'm really liking this S2000 now. Still has that Transformers badge though.
Rust, bad synchros, and burning oil.
Parker Richardson
Bad synchros are the bane of my life on my Accord.
Getting a new clutch and flywheel soon, though doubt it will help gear crunches.
Brody Wright
Yeah that stuff wont help if its the synchros. You arent the money accord are u?
Benjamin Brooks
Nah, I very rarely post here.
2007 Accord Type S, K24A3.

sold the reflective panel for 250 buckaroos + shipping. Didnt even last a week lol
If you have bad synchros all you have to do is gently hold the shifter into the gear you want and youll feel it slip in when its the right RPM
Jace Gutierrez
It's a bit more complicated, pretty much just 1st -> 2nd. I cannot shift into 2nd gear from 1st above around 5500RPM at all unless I double de-clutch.
Sometimes it will also refuse to go into gear at low RPMs with a lovely grind sound before I quickly double de-clutch to get it into gear.
It's probably created from the large gap between the 1st gear and 2nd gear ratio. 1st gear tops out around 40kmph, 2nd gear around 110kmph. And it's been like this since I bought the car from a shite dealership.
Gavin Collins
>says it's raining >Not raining Feels good
Leo Evans
I hate protesters who block traffic so much
Jeremiah Mitchell
It's really as simple as what I'm saying. You aren't wrong though, the gear ratio is making it difficult if you shift @5500.
If you shift at a lower rpm and do what I was describing, itll slip into gear 95% of the time without grinding.
Blog update:
White CRX runs great now
Kevin Gray
I don't doubt it, but because of the gearing gap and with my current 23lb flywheel - revs drop so slow that going from 7600rpm in 1st to below 5k in 2nd takes ages.
If I get more money, I might try find a scrapped FN2 TypeR and do a gearbox swap.
