Bomb Squad Guy was one of the first sticker "vendors" when OSG started out, based in the UK. Posted designs and stuff and even started a store, but orders were not coming in and people thought it was because of the cartoon bomb he put on this envelope getting held up in customs. People started making paypal claims and since then he went dark.
Bombsquad guy was the hero we needed but bailed on us without an explanation

Ok, multiple changes made, new flavor text font pending. Top layer is thicker border + drop shadow, bottom layer is original outline + drop shadow. Personally I'm kind of on the fence about which colour looks better though. I like the black for immediate readability, but the white really makes it pop out.

I like the one with the thicker white border, but have you considered putting a black outline on with the white drop shadow? Either around the drop shadow or just replacing the initial outline

I stand corrected then. I'll fix the text and finalize the drop shadow, might try a gradient drop as well later. I need to track down a knock-off of the Old Spice font for the flavor text both because I think it'll look good and because I need to hash out a rough of an idea I had at work for and old spice/old rice parody.

Should I use inkscape or illustrator for vectors? I know the pastebin says illustrator is the "industry standard", but I was if illustrator is truly the one to use.
Use whatever you want, the circle jerkers will tell you to learn Ai but you don't have to. Use what you're comfortable with, half of these circle jerkers won't even buy your shit, they're just there to suck your money from you like leeches
Illustrator is the industry standard. /osg/ is not industry. So use Inkscape.
It's just preference. Illustrator handles certain things better, but inkscape makes better SVG's
I'm more familiar with the adobe interface so i went with illustrator.

I use Inkscape because it's free and I'm too lazy to turn on my VPN and torrent illustrator.

If your going to be graphic designer then you should learn Illustrator.
If your just going to trace things or add text to images you find online, then go with inkscape.

actually good advise would be to just use illustrator anyways as if they ever get any sort of machine, illustrator is going to be much more compatible than inkscape
