One reason it bugs me is that it technically shouldn't be possible. Don't know if it got changed in a patch or if it's somehow tied to ownership radii for placeable but you used to need to have a decent amount of space between altars (which was also funcom's intended design for them). I remember needing to put the yog pit and the set altar pretty much on opposite sides of dickbutt's base back on Veeky Forums videogames.

i remember somebody on hyena finding a way to put altars right to another. i think he just left click spammed it until it somehow got placed even if the game said you needed to move it away from the other altars.

don't know if it's related to that.

I'm looking through the old screens I took back when the game first went live and post one. I put the set altar as close to the yog pit as I could on that server.

bella here, the server is dying because everyone hit lvl50 and now theres nothing left to do but find t4 thralls. At this point in just grind hardened bricks to put on my base which is already t3.

I wish there were some sort of drag and drop building planner available where you can diagram out shapes without having to waste resources in game.

is this game heavy to run?

i run ARK: dinos, or whatever it's called at ~15 fps on the lowest settings and it's unplayable. these games are the same engine right? is it because ark is really unoptimized? because i can run other games with similar graphics fine.

that's one of the only things holding me back from buying this game. that and it being early access.

I second the need for a SSD. I died countless times to stuttering at the worst times before switching the files onto a SSD. No stuttering since then. The game also appears to have a memory leak, so don't expect to run much else other than the game.

Hey, if anyone is looking for a more hardcore server a friend of mine brought one up at the beginning of last week.

It has normal gather rates and XP rates have been reduced (about 1/2), it makes the game feel more rewarding and offers more time before people hit endgame, since realistically there isn't one at the moment. The level cap has also been increased to 100 for continued progression (mod 864504908).

It's pretty relaxed at the moment, there's honestly only one active clan at the moment and no one has been able to go past the south river. Friends are required.

despite the "oh people are bored because they're already 50!" excuse, these guys couldn't even handle 1x exp. some of them were never able to get out of the 20's without extremely boosted experience. very casual playerbase here that also ironically plays pvp and hates being offline raided while never pvping and doing nothing but offline raiding.

What are some good places to build bases at?

I'm looking less for places that are super secure and more for places that have easy access to resources or -more importantly- beautiful surroundings or a really nice view.

I'm about to start playing your server until the official servers wipe. 185 is a shit show of blocked river and NPC camps by the autist (PG) clan. I can't even leave my base with any goal of getting thralls anymore.

I installed Oiled and shaved (female), Armorloot, and breast physics. After restarting, it just kept saying error. I'm assuming I have newer versions or some shit.

gotta have it in the proper order, too. in the serverlist under the settings on the side it will have them in the proper order. I know that armorloot should be loading last.

It's a tad unwieldy but it's really only a pain if you play on multiple servers and need to swap them out. once the server admin gets the modlist set it's really just a one-time thing.
