I did that too! I gave them dumb names like Oneder or Two to Tango or some shit, because I didn't want people to glance over it, but yeah I also was shooting for that exact thing.

I think a smart way to handle it would be to have it be a feature of a 2d Mario collection (maybe just the sprite based ones since file size and everything)

I thought Yoshi Story was great as a kid, but as a kid, I'll probably enjoy anything. It's really short, you should definitely try it out since it'd only take an hour or 2 for a single playthrough.

I remember not caring for Yoshi's Island DS, but I don't remember why.

Ya, emulating a VC game is still emulating a Wii, so Dolphin still needs a better computer than an N64 emulator

You didn't even need the touch screen in Color Splash, completely optional

Graphics wise: I think Color Splash is the peak. Other than 60fps, I can't imagine it looking better.

The 3DS games looked fantastic, but we're going to get a Mario & Luigi game at 720p minimum. I hope they stick to ridiculously high quality sprites rather than 3d models

Unless you consider yourself a collector, I would skip it. The effect they'll have will almost certainly be very minimal.
