I'm looking for a good sports car in the 15,000 to 20,000 range. I'll be DDing it as well as going on road trips occasionally. What's my best option?

Corvette :^)
WS6 4th gen Trans Am or other LS1 F-body, higher-performance SN95 Mustang or the nicest S197 you can buy, maybe a used BRZ if you can find one that hasn't been flogged, NC PRHT Miata if you can live with lack of storage space, 350 or 370Z if you can find a decent example, you have a lot of options.
Is a BRZ a good cruiser? Everyone seems to say they're "backroad" cars which is why I ignored them.

Why is that a bad thing?
Test drive one and see if you are annoyed by the seats or any wind noise/engine drone on the highway. Also no liftback which kinda blows, but it's still a 2+2.
Because I'm under the impression that they're suited for touge running, not prolonged trips.
Don't forget that it's slower than a mini van.
They're comfy daily drivers just don't expect room in the back seats
Only for women that get automatic transmissions
Can we just have a recommendation thread for OP? If they did that video with a Miata nobody would give a shit.
That's because most of Veeky Forums drives $3000 miatas, so they have to pretend it's not as slow
That video was made for shitposting/trolling purposes. Those guys knew exactly what they were doing
No, Miata drivers understand the point of a light/chuckable car.
Fuck no, you're better getting a beatdown 04 mustang gt. At least you'll actually have fun rekting it, especially if it's you're first car
Both are light chuckable and slow you dork
Uh, yeah, you're agreeing with me.
I'm not him
Yes you are
Who is what now?
2015 Ford Mustang ecoboost.
For under 20k you get a brand new car still under warranty. Lots of low-mid range torque (310hp 320lb/ft) for passing retards and it has a comfy interior and sharp looking exterior. Gets decent gas mileage and insurance is cheap.

And if you get a chip and a few pipes you can beat V8's all day easy. Even on stock turbos.
Only cons are the engine noise is not gonna be the satisfying V8 but at least you get to hear the turbo. Dont get a V6 on the S550 though (2015-2017 mustangs). There is a reason its being phased out and getting no love from the modding community.
chuckable into the trash! KEK!
mazda japsuckers BTFO!!
Post your car and not edgy teen .jpg's
>2800 lbs
>Light
Choose one
how is that not light? the fuck kind of standard for weights do you have?
Miata NB
Post pic or buspass
Veeky Forums is so easily triggered kek
When your trying to give actual advice to OP but it just turns into a miata shitposting competition.
OP here, this seems like a nice option but I don't see these for under 20k
Thats weird, u sure you looked? In my area there is a good handful for under 19k
The Lakewood is the best car for you
Cash or financing?
I'm not in Florida unfortunately
whatever
E46 m3, 330ci zhp, e39 m5, 530i, c4, C5, save for 15+ Mustang gt, save for a cayman s
OP is guarenteed early to mid 20s. And he needs a DD as well, I doubt a c5, old m3 or m5 will be practical at all.
C5s and C6s have a surprising amount of cargo space.
easy choice desu
Alfa romeo giulia
They're perfectly dd-able. If it breaks down then you take it to a mechanic and rent a car. Just like you would if your new car had a problem. Stop being a pussy.
In an ideal world sure an old corvette will be cool but gas, insurance rates and repair costs due to it being older is not smart for a cash strapped millenial looking into a sports car.
If he can drop 20k cash on a car then I wouldn't say he's strapped for cash.
Toybaru twin.
And faster than Veeky Forums's wifu miata.
Not OP, but this will probably be my next car. This is one of the few decent cars nissan still makes.
Slower accelaration than a miata. Slower than a minivan, 15 sec 1/4 mile.
Slooooooow
Nice buyer's remorse you have there. Race you to 140mph, or round VIR.
Who the HECK buys an automatic toyobaru??? Only one sperg here actually leased one
we've hit peak autism
ecoboost mustang seems pretty legit desu. its like 300 hp. You'll have to go 5-10 years old to get a german car with that power.
